Yeah...we've played around 8000 minutes of Premier League football since our return, and the only two red cards in that time came within twelve minutes.

Well change the rules then ;)

But I agree with you about Kilbane and Phil Neville. It's almost as if the BBC give up with some weekends. Shearer was made to look intelligent when next to Savage last night, and these two are just clowns.

Savage on MotD is hilarious. He is just so poor that even Shearer can run rings round him. I liked Lineker's reaction, looked like he wasn't smiling WITH Savage.

Really, how this chap works in the media is beyond me. Its not just his poor understanding of the game, or his 'laddishness' but his inability to speak correct English when surely that is the very minimum as a job requirement.

As for Phil Neville, he was very poor as a summariser but I don't find him too bad in the studio.

I like Savage, takes the piss out of himself quite bit. Fletch and Sav on BTsport is always an amusing watch on Saturday morning. He also does a good job on 606, engages with the everyone that calls up.

You're being a bit harsh of him though.

When Savage was trying to say that it wasn't a red card and Shearer and him started arguing I had visions of them cutting to the next game and Shearer saying to Savage 'You are a 'rait' cockwomble'. I wonder if there was any 'belittling'.

I don;t think it will last too long. Looked like Shearer and Lineker were doing their best to show him up. A bit like Lineker seems to do with Lawrenson these days every time he is on there.

You really need an eye test if you think it was just a tangle.

As HR said 'only a ref with a stick up his arse would give that ' - nothing wrong with his eyesight mate. You may be a ref but it doesnt mean that you are right. Personally i didnt think that it was a sending off offence - if it was then football is getting so wet and pampered that we just as well give up.

Agreed, although he isn't a great MOTD pundit. He's great on 606 though.

This will sound arrogant but I don't care - I am right. That was a red card. If it's not a red card offence Hull will appeal and it will get rescinded.

The ref himself can't be blamed here - even if he was able to apply logic to a situation (which in the main he can't), he didn't see it, so was only able to go on what he's told by the Lino. Therefore it had to be a red, daft or not.

Yes well whatever, i happen to think that you are incorrect. Not that it matters what either of us think should of happened.

Totally agree. I'm not a ref, but if the Lino has told him that Gaston kicked out (and it's obvious that that's what Gaston did) then he's got no choice - it's a straight red for violent conduct. Specially since it appears he didn't see it himself.

Even though Luke Shaw reminds him of Gareth Bale "when he opens his legs"?
