Michael Oliver has been awful in that first half. Just because a referee's view is blocked doesn't mean we should accept it when they get decisions wrong. Get yourself in a better position. Poor.

A referee will have his view blocked from time to time. It happens. Get over it.

Is he? With 7 goals from 11 appearances so far this season, many of those as a sub?

I still don't rate him. He tends to get most of his goals in the Europa League, against second-rate opposition to my mind.

It'd be interesting to see him get a good run of games, so we could potentially dispel the myth for once and for all.

Someone on Twitter tweeted to say that it looks like David Salas was the brains of the operation at Saints after all.

David replied! He said "BUAHAHAHAHA HAPPY HALLOWEEN SAINTS!" and "I can neither confirm nor negate that. :)"

Despite looking dreadful vs QPR, Benteke looked pretty useful in the first half today (although Kaboul does seem to have lost it this season). So seeing him banned for our game is certainly a plus.

I waited over 4 hours for your response Tom, and that is all you have? I'm disappointed. ;)

P.S You can't seriously say Oliver had a good game today

I didn't say that, but referee's do have their view impeded sometimes. It's inevitable with one pair of eyes and 22 other bodies on the pitch.

Don't you just hate that..? A quick singing our praises and gone. That's simply not enough..! We need a blow by blow account. :)

That Poch was lucky to have a set of players with a great mentality, who bought into his methods no questions asked (and that this mentality clearly still exists through our club looking at our start this season). Basically a nod to the underlying system, recruitment and ownership of our club. However he doesn't have that at Spurs, he'll need time and that they bought badly.

He didn't look at all happy on the touchline today did he? Shame that.

And Levy was doing his best Nosferatu impression.

Pochettino waving an imaginary card at the ref during that brawl. Lamela too.

Friedel essentially said on MOTD2 that Ryan Mason was tasked with winding Villa up and trying to get one of their players sent off. Also admitted that Mason put his head in on Benteke. Might have been too honest for your own good there, Brad.

Dirty, horrible club.
