Moyes on short list with Pepe Mel for Real Sociedad job. Makes you think would United have done any worse if they had given him a second season. Think the board and fans couldn't accept that United were in transition and made a knee jerk reaction in sacking him.

I think the main problem with Moyes at Man Utd was not with Moyes as a manager but Moyes as a name. Man United is such a massive brand and even the team is such a household brand (even when playing badly) that a club like Man United need a manager whose name is big enough for the club. Fergie, Mourinho, Van Gaal, Guardiola etc.

Moyes would have done just as well if he had been given the money that Van Gaal has, he was just unfrotunate that it took the Man Utd board a season to realise that Fergie had jumped when he knew that the whole squad needed a complete overhaul. For a club the size of Man Utd with the targets that they want to achieve that means spending massively seeing as they needed in the region of 10 to 15 players. Moyes was only backed to buy 2 players. Van Gaal has been given the freedom of Old Trafford!!!

How good would it be if he was a success there and took them back to United in a European competition ... oh wait, United won't be in one of those :)

That is why it will be so funny if they spend a 150 million and finish outside the top 4.

Roger East is the fourth official I see. He's the only official I know personally (uncle of a very close friend). It's probably good he's not the referee though, I swear he tends to favour the opposition against us, just to avoid being accused of bias. I can remember a few years back I saw him just days before the first game he ever referred involving us (Plymouth - Boxing Day I believe), and I asked him to go easy on off. If my memory serves me correctly, he sent off one our players and we lost!

Any way, as for tonight. I'm not surprise to see Mannone and Brown getting culled. But how has Vergini kept his place?

25 seconds into the game. 25 flipping seconds. That's all it takes for him to luckily get away without conceding a penalty.
