We may well look back and realise that this trophy was the start of our 'rise to glory', our first of modern times, the catalyst for the following ones...silverware is silverware and by christ the team have earned the right to play at wembley just as if they earned the right in the F.A. cup or league cup, and I want them to win it.

Finish work at 2.30pm tomorrow, then off for a week.
Cans in the fridge for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Also a couple of nice single malts for the 9.00pm full game repeat on sky sports.
Ticket came today, hoping programme comes tomorrow.

Echoes the sentiments i posted the other day mate.

Feels like we're on a journey now and a nice one to look back on .

Just heard Sheffield United have fired Wilder.

Madness that.
Strange move. Obviously nobody's able to rescue them now, they're already down. Unless they've found a replacement who wants to get into next season's job early ( and have a relegation on his CV?) I can't fathom it out. Looks like a bust-up with the chairman to me, I'm not much of a Wilder fan anyway, since I found out his best mate is Stewart Donald.

Is he really? He’s done such a job there, I’d have thought even though they are down he’d be best bet to get them back up.

You could be right mind, could be something behind the scenes.

It hasn’t broke as official yet mind just heard it via work, usually bang on.

Jones done his hamstring? Out for 2 weeks?

Lad off RTG reckons so

Our injuries have been staggering

Say you were on your daily exercise walk that happened to be around Wembley stadium.....anyone got any idea what time the team bus would arrive?

They're going down on the train so it'll be a hotel, light meal and hired coach I'd imagine.

Johnson won't want them hanging around too long but they'll want a look round, photos, etc. Then they'll want a run on the pitch which should be in good fettle as it's not been used much, just hope the Pompey Cloggers don't scruff it up.

If I was going for a look I'd time it for just before 1pm.

I definitely want us to win and just don't get crack like "just play u23's as it means nothing" as I've seen.

It really does mean something. We have lost 8 Wembley visits on the belt, and each time the number goes up, the psychology for the next team gets worse.

We might be there for a playoff final in a few months. What is better - a run of 1 win in a row or going into a final with a run of 9 defeats in a row?
