They will come here and 100% have a go at us. Its a really tricky game. A definite banana skin

The trickiest games for us seem to be defensive teams at home, as we're clocking up clean sheets I'd hope we can score and win. I agree with you though, they need a win and they move the ball quickly in attack so we'll have to be on our game.

I posted this in the Shrewsbury Town thread on Feb 9th after the game when we were out of the play off places.

“Doncaster are losing.
We’ll be top two by the end of March.
Time for a whisky.”

I was wrong. But so close. :emoticon-0103-cool:
We’ll get there in April and be top in May.
I didn’t get a feeling of utter dejection the last two seasons, missing out on promotion. It was half expected.
I will be gutted if we don’t get out this season. I think we will.
It’s strange to feel fairly relaxed about the next two games.
Everything seems to be coming nicely together.
<cheers>

Agreed mate. And, to be fair, we've been a tad fortunate to get over the line on a couple of times lately, even though we've bossed these games.

We'll have to see what happens, if and when we concede/go behind.....the law of averages tells us we'll have that banana skin soon.

We've also been unfortunate a few times tbf.

The law of averages doesn't really apply in football otherwise Arsenal could never have become 'The Invincibles' ...

... it's possible we won't lose again this season.

No mate, I'm repying to the banana skin angle.

Recently, during this great mini run, we have deffo ridden our luck in some performances in getting all three points, or keping the draw etc.

Some games we have looked pedestian in patches.

However, we've still got over the line because of our overall ability, so far imoi...

The law of averages does apply in all sports mate, and nobody has a say in that equasion whatsoever.

Otherwise we'd all be betting millionaires.....

We have kept some lucky clean sheets of late (thank God).....but this LOA tells us all this will not last forever, nomatter if we have three keepers between the sticks.

It's possible our law of averages were the defeats to Wigan, Plymouth, etc ....

So from that it looks like Jones is defo available for the weekend but still no sign of Bailey Wright

Although Wright is a class act I think having Jones back for these games is a better scenario. Our makeshift defence has been solid. Jones adds another dimension to the attack. He's direct, has pace and as we have seen likes a pop at goal. He puts defenders on edge or on their arses.

Its not that I disagree, Jones cameos have been very good. But he may not live up to the billing of being the saviour that we want.

A useful addition etc...but one player only

And that is the beauty now. Coming to the business end of the season and we have such strength AND more players coming back waiting to play their part.

Every team has good and bad luck, you ride your good luck and accept the bad. We just tend to focus on our team because we have a vested interest.
Better teams tend to have more good fortune than poorer teams, as Gary Player once said, "the more I practice the luckier I get"
