The bloke has swept in and been a complete breath of fresh air. Its no shock we are on such a great run since he came in
It's really great. A big stress for me was that if we didn't go up soon we would get stuck down here forever. It's clear that that's not the case now, even if we mess up both this run in and then the playoffs. I don't think we will by the way!

Maguire needs to start imo, embarrassing he doesn’t get on the bench ahead of the likes of Leadbitter.
can you please state why you think that is , as i see some thinking you are on the wind up, a blunt declaration without a reason why doesnt cut it with a lot of our fans.awaiting a nice read in anticipation.

I found a Charlton fan board - they think they’ll be happy with an unexpected point...

Every group of supporters will be nervous about all their games - I get we are saying Donny and Lincoln have “blown up” but they’re going to be scrapping for play offs - won’t be easy for anyone playing them

I’m officially reasonably optimistic

After quite some research I've found that being either pessimistic or optimistic has no bearing on results ...

... so I go for being optimistic as I find I enjoy my beers more.

He is a game changer and offers a lot more to the team imo. He chips in with some vital goals (Crewe for example) creates and wins valuable free kicks, as proven on Friday prior to Mcgeady’s goal against Oxford. Leadbitter comes on and passes the ball side ways and backwards without having any real impact on the game when we have plenty of players who can already do that. The king deserves a place in the side and I’m struggling to find reasons why he shouldn’t at least be on the bench.

Just give it up you berk. You're comparing apples and oranges which shows your knowledge of football....

You guys have a lot of fans outside League 1 and so many people would love to see Sunderland back in the PL, although do remember that the PL is all about bullshit, image and corporate garbage. You have landed a great owner and it reminds me when Saints had Markus Liebherr buy our club and the good times really started. You could well be in for much the same and I sincerely hope the time comes when you can really hit the highs and enjoy every moment of your success.

All the very best for the rest of the season and beyond.

Thanks very much for those sentiments, very kind of you.
Feels great to have bottomed out and hopefully on the up again.
Look forward to catching up in happier times ahead.
Be delighted if we could take a leaf out your book moving forward.

The King.....really?

Maguire can be a game changer, but can also go missing in games, something you definately couldn't say about Leadbitter.
You said a few posts back that Maguire needs to start.....in place of who?
Should he be on the bench? Maybe, but its horses for courses for me, and I trust LJ to pick the right horses......

I just laugh rather than ignore :emoticon-0105-wink:

I used to, and I know ignoring opinions that differ from your own is just silly and allows for a goldish bowl effect. But frankly reading so much nonsense from people that clearly weren't just offering an alternative perspective but instead clearly trying to provoke and create tension is just no good for my mental health.

Might seem a bit grandiose but I have a stressful job and deal with enough difficult people through that, so when I step away from work to enjoy my hobbies I like to minimise the amount of bell-ends. Football should be about enjoyment, not arguing with members of your own fan base who just want an argument. Supporting Sunderland is stressful enough without generating additional stresses within our own community.

Not saying everyone should do that, and others may think its weird I'd want to limit it, but I'm much happier consuming it this way, even if it gets confusing reading people's posts when they're replying to one of the idiots :D

It's the same reason I have gone block / ignore heavy on twitter. And I've deleted all social media from my phone so that I only deal with it when at my computer.

Sanderson has picked up a knock apparently but is desperate to play on Saturday

It’s karma. That’s what crowing about the Pish injuries gets you.
Shame on all of you who crowed.
The season’s ruined now. <doh>

See i'm a glass half full type of person after dealing with a few issues myself over the years.

I laugh at the numpties and actually thank them on the inside for making me appear intelligent and normal :emoticon-0102-bigsm
