We're at home, Peterborough and Hull are away. so we need to take advantage of any points dropped.

Even if we only make up a point a week it's enough.

I hope Charlton get a grip and manage to play the game ...

... we don't want to end up with another 'game in hand'.

Team P GD Pts
1 Hull 40 36 76
2 Peterborough 39 29 73
3 Sunderland 38 30 71
4 Portsmouth 38 16 64
5 Blackpool 37 17 63
6 Lincoln City 37 15 62

Why wouldn’t Charlton be able to play?

Why wouldn't they play us.

Charlton are a strange side. Hard to know what to expect from them. Like everyone we seem to be playing at the minute they have a lot to play for and will certainly come here and have a go at us. Hopefully Hume starts i dont wanna see McFadzean again in this run in

We have been in a run of really tricky games. If we can get through them close or above PBoro our last 3/4 should see us over the line

Wyke needs to end this mini drought asap

McFadzean has been one of the worst players I've seen in a Sunderland shirt and that's saying something. The number of times today he was found wanting or caught out of position was shocking. A real weak link in our team.

Awful almost all his time here. He was weak as piss in the tackle today that lead to their goal. Hume is simply far better and will offer so much more going forward thus helping McGeady out aswell

I hoped he'd improve but he hasn't.

He'd be better further forward but that won't happen.

Hume or O'Nien would be better there imo.

O'Nien has had his time in the middle and needs moving before it all goes wrong.

I'm not too sure how far away Wright is but it'll be good to see him and Sanderson in the middle. O'Nien has given a great account of himself in that position all things considered.

I noticed that even when he got forward, McGeady seemed to ignore him to pass to and carried the ball inside a lot to try and make something happen in the first half

There was a point in the second half he gave the ball to McGeady near our corner flag putting him under pressure. We got a lucky bounce for a goal kick and McGeady was clearly raging, muttering away to himself as he walked away.
