I remember the Liverpool fans moaning about the price when Brenda bought them saying he was average and not good enough for them.

I also remember comments when they bought him, Lovren and Lambert like "Why are we buying the 8th placed team's players? If we buy the players of the 8th best team we will then be the 8th best team"

Didn't they then come 8th lastseason?

I know a chap who lives just over the border from you in Co Leitrim. As he was in the Royal Navy, guess who he supports? I think if I was Irish I would have grown up supporting one of the European greats such as AC Milan.

I think if I was Irish I'd have ended up supporting Linfield or Donegal...... or another Irish team. Now if I was Italian...

Lallana had his best & most consistent season under Pochettino in his last season at Saints. He is a little injury prone & a combination of that & not playing regularly because of his position in the pecking order saw him struggle in his first year and a half at Liverpool. Now he is fit & playing regularly he is back to his peak.

He missed pre-season in his first season at Scousehampton... that screwed him for that year.

Stopped at "comfort zone" the guy is in £100k+ a week to play football, there isn't many more comfortable things then that.

Didn't they still have Brenda sabotaging them for some of last season?

Indeed. I almost cried when he finally went. So much entertainment denied and a chance that Liverpool would now try something approaching strategy and tactics.

Also my Hulk soap on a rope could manage Celtic. Remember his almost childish attempts at "managing" in the early Champ League rounds against amateurs.

and just as slippery?

Brenda is arguably the biggest fraud the PL has
ever seen. Find it hard to dislike Liverpool now as he was the reason why I did really.

I wouldn't even mind them winning the league this year, providing we win this competition.

Of course if they knock us out then they can get ****ed and finish 5th to United :)

And either way I'll still piss myself when Rooney breaks the record this Sunday with a late, offside winner <whistle>

I've said it before(about 10 mins ago) and I'll say it again.

This is Klopp trying to be a Jedi.

He's not talking about Lallana, he's tapping Vin Dijk up, flirting with him...trying to unsettle him.

Liverpools board won't be spending £50m on a cb <ok>

No, we do get some glory hunters from the likes of Winchester <whistle>

And Wales <laugh>

When I first moved to Ashby De La Zouch there was a lad playing footie in the garden with his Dad and he had a Saints shirt on. I wrongly assumed they had moved up there from the South, but were actually from Manchester. The son supported Saints because he liked the way we played and love MLT, and clearly didn't want to be a glory hunter.

Supporter from Donegal in the NW of Ireland...I don't know any other fans near me but when I lived in Dublin we had a small supporters group. I have Le Tiss to blame/thank for supporting Saints!

Used to work with a lad from Derry who told me a fair few Derry City supporters had Saints as their English club? Largely on account of the red n white stripes apparently. He was a bit nuts though. Often wonder what happened to him. Always claiming he was off to France to join the Foreign Legion.
