I cannot believe some of the things in that article. The guy is still mouthing off the very thing that put him there and wants early release due to the stress of being on his own. This is the bit that gets me...he is in a Prison not a holiday camp!

"He is allowed out of his cell for at least three hours a day and has four hours use of a phone. He has made 1,250 social calls since November.

He has a laptop and access to email, a TV, DVDs and a CD player, the use of a gym and can work as a decorator around the jail - albeit on his own.

As of March, some 120 people had been allowed to see him over 93 visits, more than any other inmate."

Yaxley-Lennon "complains he cannot watch GB News" on the television he has been given access too.

Let’s not forget he is in jail for endangering the case against grooming gangs. So those people who idolise him are directly supporting someone who did his best to stop them getting justice.

What a laughable way to frame the situation. Many of the victims themselves have stated no one was interested except him for a long time.

He was one of the only people fighting for justice in that situation. Hate him or not, you can’t deny that.

Mate, come on. He didn't/doesn't give a **** about child abuse, he only gives a **** about Muslim child abuse. Members of his own little **** stain organisation were bang at it. Not a peep out of him for these.

SYL is not some stalwart freedom fighting journalist. He's a racist twat with small man syndrome

SYL should rot in prison.

Surely posting support for him in here must be a banning offence ? Come on mods , do your job.....

Very interesting article about how foreign nations are scamming the British pension scheme, and the HMRC has no idea how bad the situation is because they refuse to look.
lol
Foreign nationals do you mean? It's not nations. Lets hope funds are made available for a team to plug the loopholes. HRMC were grossly underfunded by previous tory administrations.
There are deadlines in place you can only pay voluntary contributions for the past 6 years which may prevent abuse.
"If you live or work outside the UK
If you live or work abroad (or have previously), find out what you need to do before paying voluntary National Insurance contributions.
Deadlines.
You can only pay voluntary contributions for the past 6 years. The deadline is 5 April each year.
For example, you have until 5 April 2031 to make up gaps for the tax year 2024 to 2025.
You may have previously been able to pay for gaps going back more than 6 years - the deadline to pay was 5 April 2025."

There's also an estimated 5.5m British people living permanently abroad almost 1 in 10 of the population of which over 1 million are, like myself and San Tejón, pensioners, I think he, like myself, gets the yearly increase but almost half have theirs's frozen. This an example from Nov 2024
"This weekend, a few weeks before her 100th birthday, a former wartime intelligence officer will set off on a new mission: to meet with the UK pensions minister and persuade her to end an “injustice”.

Anne Puckridge is travelling 4,400 miles from her home in Canada to ask the UK government to change rules that campaigners say penalise almost half a million pensioners living overseas and leave many struggling financially.

I think this is still current. A petition on the Change.org website launched by Puckridge’s daughter.

I have been getting the annual pension increase, thus far, and think it is incredibly unfair if any pensioner, who has made the correct number of annual NI contributions, is denied the annual increase.
My issue at the moment is that I have stopped receiving any notification letters from the pension people.
I have previously received annual letters informing me of the increase, but this letter has not been sent/received this year. Trying to get the DWP/Pension people to understand, when I have emailed them, that I am not trying to change my address but trying to get them to send notifications to my Spanish address, as they have done before is soul destroying.
I have checked on my government gateway log in, for messages, but there is only one there from 2023.

I got an update letter, it's filed somewhere sensible I'll dig it out later and let you know the date. There's a local heritage and culture festival that needs my attention first, old boats, buses and beer.
I worked on a few years so didn't claim my pension. I was happily surprised at the interest rate I got and opted for an increased pension rather than a lump sum. Those extra years working freelance on interesting projects were well spent.

I suppose along with my list the other week, we can add supporting Tommy Robinson as well to it.
