Apparently if anyone wants to get on the racist bandwagon, you can join EDL racists in attacking Grosvenor Square tomorrow evening.
Just because Andrew Tate told you the kid who killed those 3 girls and wounded all those others was a Muslim doesn’t actually make it true Os. Like pretty much everything else the guy puts out, it was inflammatory bollocks.Mate you’re so boring and frankly offensive.
I am not a racist. If you knew me and the demographics of my family in real life the idea is laughable.
People are allowed different opinions. Get off your moral high horse
The Anti-apartheid movement was instrumental in getting South Africa banned from all international sport because of their abhorrent policies, not because of their religion. You’re confusing two completely different things in suggesting a ban on cricket matches because a bunch of far-right racist ****s might possibly try and disrupt them.Permit me to disagree for once with you and I will leave it at that. It did happen in the past in 1970 when South Africa's tour to England was cancelled because of anti-apartheid demonstrations. And with emotions running so high at the momnet, for the wrong reasons among the "Enough is Enough" brigade, I would not be so sure. And some of this lot would turn up at the cricket and spend all day chanting. I just hope the thugs can be reined in, prosecuted, jailed and banned from any and every sporting venue for life.
I often wish I had the same luxury!I have joined the blocked bandwagon.
It is a shame as on other threads I like the banter etc from Os, but this is rapidly turning into a far right load of bollocks, that frankly I don't want in my day. It is not about listening to both sides, it is about cutting out the total bullshit and vile stuff that is spouted on here.
People can have other opinions and indeed just yesterday this very thread was a healthy mix without the sensationalism.

I agree in principle, but someone is always engaging so this was my only viable solutionPeople need to stop engaging with the trolling / rage bait. Because otherwise all the blocking does is make this thread confusing to read as the posts being replied to are cut out.
You do have the option to not respond thoughI often wish I had the same luxury!![]()

Rain today. That usually settles things down. If only the Gov could control that!?Not sure that'll make much difference without people to staff it.

Yeah, sad times. Awful. Hate all this ****e.Only looks like slight showers. Don't think it's the thunderstorm we need.
To be honest I'm not convinced that'll work this time either. It'll just go on hold.

We're miles away from this getting any better. Frightening.

This is very obviously horrendous and the sign of an escalation, if only we could chuck the fascists and other extremists on a small island somewhere to enjoy their quarrels while the rest of us (the vast vast majority) could be left in peace.
I do note however that local Muslim community leaders came along to disperse the crowd and apologised to the pub.
Any of that leadership going on among the far right?
Are there 'community leaders' in the far right? Always considered that term to be a bit wooly but mainly religion based? I have seen videos of people protecting police from getting attacked mind.
None of this changes the fact it's happening either and should be condemned. Things are escalating big time.
Being honest I was being facetious about the far right.
And I agree it should be condemned and treated the same as the rioting elsewhere, but we should also highlight that effort to deescalate, which goes against the narrative the far right want to spin and is a welcome bit of civility in the middle of this **** show.
I feel like it is only people who look like extras from This Is England who are really kicking off…Agreed mate.
The media (and social media especially) want to focus on the bad and enflame things further while the good news stories don't get the same attention.
I actually felt relieved when I saw the white Brits trying to protect the police officer who was knocked off his bike. It's reassuring to know not everybody out on the street is intent on extreme violence.
