At this rate a new prison will have to be built just for the rioters.

It is a good job England are not playing Pakistan in test or one-day cricket at the moment. If it had been the situation, these matches would have been cancelled completely on Home Office advice.

No they wouldn’t. There has never been any incidence of Islamophobic abuse, chanting, or violence at an England v Pakistan cricket match. Just because a rent-a-mob bunch of racist thugs starts rioting, it doesn’t mean normal life has to stop.

I do understand why you say that but the right expect it all to come from the immigrants so maybe that’s why the left appears to be the opposite

I’m clear this takes both communities but maybe we need to start it as we have the power. It’s tough when there’s people treating you like **** because of the colour of your skin, even if it’s a minority

I do think we are in the same ballpark on this though

Malaysia, where the main religion is Islam, has issued a travel warning to its citizens travelling to or living in the UK.
    Has that ever happened before?

Permit me to disagree for once with you and I will leave it at that. It did happen in the past in 1970 when South Africa's tour to England was cancelled because of anti-apartheid demonstrations. And with emotions running so high at the momnet, for the wrong reasons among the "Enough is Enough" brigade, I would not be so sure. And some of this lot would turn up at the cricket and spend all day chanting. I just hope the thugs can be reined in, prosecuted, jailed and banned from any and every sporting venue for life.

Funnily enough was just chatting to a Malaysian friend who said the whole thing has scared her and she no longer feels safe here. I pointed out British racists are too thick to realise not all Muslims look the same.

If it continues, I would like the Government to introduce emergency legislation banning all marches, and dispersing all kinds of crowds that gather for such purposes if the number exceeds ten. If they don't disperse, grab and prosecute. End of!!

Yeah, my neighbour and good friend was due to be in Manchester for a get together at the same time as one of these protests/riots and his friend - who is south Asian - phoned him last night to say he is dropping out because the older members of the family had asked him not to go up there while it's happening. It's so sad

I bet Kier Stalin won’t mention the Muslim Defence League who have been out with swords smashing up pubs tonight.

I didn’t think we’d see a worse prime minister than Liz Truss in my lifetime; but he’s managed it just a few months later. Fair play

Not sure that'll make much difference without people to staff it.

At this stage I would be tempted to chuck them in a prison and leave them to it. Just guard the outside. Let em ****ing rot or kill themselves fighting each other.

As loading already facetiously noticed, I disagree with the majority on here about this.

When George Floyd was murdered, politicians and police sympathised hugely with the riots. They took the knee and appeased the rioters completely. The media was on their side despite 27 police officers being injured and thousands of properties damaged. They couldn’t have been more forgiving on the hooligans.

Now, in England, 3 girls were murdered in cold blood just a few days after a uniformed army officer was stabbed 70 times. On the back of the rape gangs and years of migration rapidly increasing against the wish of a lot of the electorate. Since then; the government has essentially labelled the whole country far right thugs and ignored any of the legitimate protests by focusing only on the bad apples. This has (obviously) lead to more riots.

My question is; why were the BLM rioters worth appeasing “the voice of the unheard” etc… whilst British protestors get instantly smashed up with riot shields and batons?

It’s impossible to deny that there is a two tier justice system at this point. All people want is fairness.

    Wow what?

Im genuinely asking. To me I was equally horrified by both sets of riots. But in my opinion the soft policing of previous riots is a big catalyst for the trouble this week
