Didn't think Johnson would make that 100 threshold, but he is charging in front of the MP nominations.

Nearly at 50 already.

He gets there and you might as well crown him on the spot.
Yep, as he'll win any Tory member vote. Christ, it's going to happen isn't it?

It's generally a bad sign when it's difficult to tell if your Parliament is behaving more like the Italian legislature, or like an Italian football club.

Pretty likely, seems most of the Truss supporting MPs from the last election are going straight back to him.

So not only will it be him, but it will be the same looking cabinet again as well.

They seem to have forgotten that they’re meant to represent the country.

****ing embarrassing. Not a single one of them cares about anything other than their careers.

Its the same MP's who switched between Truss and then back to Johnson, so the problem is firmly identified.

Career before country.

Only thing I do wonder is if this might be the step too far for the Sunak backers, a few have already said they would quit the party if he returned, I dont see it being in the numbers required though but I can hope.

Yep.

Another personal theory of mine has been fully confirmed as well.

For a long time I’ve been saying that finance is “
”upstream” of politics.

For all Liz Truss’ faults, she came in and for once a politician tried to actually implement what they said they were going to do. And then the financial markets and media was leveraged against her by the mutineers in the party.

The shadowy oligarchs and old money are more powerful than the prime minister.
