She's not noticeably biased in my view either way. The Tories hate these sort of reports because they can act as a disincentive for those not committed to go out and support them. Personally the polls gave moved me LD to Labour in a constituency where it's hard to say who is second, so arguably the big Tory lead has given my vote to Corbyn.

Right. Been traipsing the streets to be met with hostility and vile abuse. Last time I go to Portsmouth!

Seriously, in areas of Chester that have always been die-hard Labour we were subjected to a frightening mixture of apathy and contempt. I'm getting ready to go again tomorrow, but have never been so despondent.

I am going to replay Kinnock's famous "If the Tories win tomorrow" speech, and also remember his humility in defeat when he said he wasn't sorry for himself but for those less fortunate than himself.

What hurt tonight wasn't the contempt for us, but the indifference when we talked of child poverty; paucity of mental health provision; the injustices of the benefit system; the massaging of unemployment figues with the so-called 'flexible working'[.

No-one gives a **** any more is the sad conclusion.

Politics does divide people, and they always say do not talk politics at dinner parties etc.

What I will say is that although we are united by our support (well some of us) by Saints FC, we are clearly very divided (as expected) by politics. We all have different backgrounds and reasons for the way we are, but in the main this forum has been pretty civil throughout very, very, challenging times. The odd spat, but I think we are still one big happy Not606 family.

Long may it continue

PS I do love a bit of 'Mod Wars' though :)
A bit of biff as Bill McLaren would say.

I did think the same, but thought I would keep quiet as I do think we have all been picking on Beddy recently :)
Correct me if I'm wrong, but the BBC has always been accused [by Tories] of left-wing bias. Now, if my memory doesn't fail me, I believe there were moves by the Conservative government to make the board of governors of the BBC more right-wing. This would reflect a change in stance. Entirely politically motivated. It would mean that people like Peston or Kuenssberg would have seemed left-wing before, but seem more right-wing now.

Who can you trust? I don't entirely trust any form of political media. I trust verifiable data.

My goodness, he wasn't wrong. The proof is already around us.

The tone of the debate on this thread is very respectful compared to other boards, seriously

My cousin announced to me the other day that he is a Nazi, because he is a National Socialist. That is, he is a Socialist, but puts the people of Britain before others.

I mean, can you find a more uninformed person. He's picked up on one piece of historical information and extrapolated hugely wrongly. Presumably next he will advocate jailing or executing every political opposition. <doh>

Of course my answer was, "No, you are not a Nazi." He's 8 years older than me too.

On your way to the polling booth tomorrow spare a thought for innocent Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe who would probably have also liked to have voted tomorrow but is currently languishing in an Iranian jail thanks to one of Johnson's notorious errors and fictions.

Do you really want Johnson as your Prime Minister if he can't be trusted by his campaign team to met the media and be interviewed. He has been kept away from any opportunity where he can questioned because he can't hold facts in his head, he gets his information all wrong, makes things up as he goes along and continues to spout lie after lie.

For a brief moment he was excused as I read that last line as "He is 8 years old"

The informed seem to hate the tories,
the media seem to hate labour,
nobody loves the liberal,
and the others are at 7%.

So I make that a hung parliment, and a possible coalition between blue & yellow.

Anyone else want to hazard a guess?
