Sorry, but you've completely lost it on this one. Don't you understand that the NHS is being raped time and time again by your precious Tory Party, who would rather see us all with private insurance because there's money to be made out of people's health, or lack of it. So you actively pursue a policy which slowly makes the NHS worse and worse, then say, "hey we can do better with private insurance." And that why Americans are literally dying because they can't afford medicines, because they can't afford the astronomic pricing. And yes, it could easily happen here. And why not? You get the economically less active off the population count because they cease to exist. Dickens had it right in Victorian Britain. He wrote:
At this festive season of the year, Mr Scrooge, ... it is more than usually desirable that we should make some slight provision for the Poor and destitute, who suffer greatly at the present time. Many thousands are in want of common necessaries; hundreds of thousands are in want of common comforts, sir."
"Are there no prisons?"
"Plenty of prisons..."
"And the Union workhouses." demanded Scrooge. "Are they still in operation?"
"Both very busy, sir..."
"Those who are badly off must go there."
"Many can't go there; and many would rather die."
"If they would rather die," said Scrooge, "they had better do it, and decrease the surplus population."
And these days they have appeals to the people to send presents to the thousands of children living in poverty [it's on local radio every day]. Have we become so immune that we accept that this goes on? Food banks, homeless people. All this slowly disappears when a centralist or left-wing government gets in. And then, after righting the economy, bringing back proper standards, and lowering the national debt, they are rewarded by being voted out of office, only to let the Tories back in who slowly lay waste to everything. How much plainer does it need to be? The Conservatives are not representing you.
