Dave, the most pitiful thing about a large section of the electorate is that they'll shout about the bit I put in bold when the reality is that they will NEVER be in that bracket anyway. I appreciate that some have aspirations toward reaching those kinds of income levels but there is a bloody good reason why the average wage in this country is about £28k.
Another ludicrous thing is that a massive proportion of the working class have never experienced Socialism as they've only seen Tory and Blairite governments so lap up the lies and exageration portrayed in the rags.
The final bit of stupidity in my opinion, is that ordinary working people on average incomes, with ordinary prospects and abilities seem to think that they are not working class at all and are in fact middle class - the working class to them being those people who either don't work at all, or do the very worst paid menial jobs etc. Big wake up call coming to a huge slice of our deluded population if a Tory government gains a working majority

They have experienced socialism, they just don’t understand what it entails.
The NHS, Welfare State, Free Education, Social Care, Social Housing are all, unless I am mistaken, socialist ideals.
If people realised this they wouldn’t be scared of the word socialism and might actually start thinking that it is not that bad an idea, especially when compared with what we have been put through over the last 9 years.

I meant a socialist government, but you're absolutely right. If we took those things out of our lives, and replaced them with the free market alternatives, people would be too busy dying on the streets to even have a say in how the country is run

There was a classic moment the other evening when some bloke who turns out to be an IT consultant was calling Labour out for lying that “only” the top 5% earners were paid more than £80,000, saying things like “what about doctors and solicitors and people like that?” He had failed to calculate that 5% of the population of the UK is well over 3 million people, and that most of that 5% will only pay a couple of quid a week extra.

IT Consultant more concerned about paying an extra fiver a week than 6million workers getting less than the Living Wage!

Shock Horror!

............But did he say it and why>>>>>>>??
Here’s the full article, which I have just skimmed through. There’s nothing new there, and every word is straight out of Conservative Central Office. Corbyn’s associations with terrorist groups are well-documented, and when they aren’t completely made-up bollocks they are justified by being part of the talks leading up to the Good Friday Agreement.

I accept that many people are likely to be influenced by stories like this, just as they always are. It’s inevitable when most of the press are owned by offshore billionaires.

The former head of MI6 is not an offshore billionaire though.....Why on earth would he talk about it. Just to get headlines.........No cant see that........I agree about the Mail and its ramblings. Just sometimes it gets it right............

Ask yourself why the story gets out a couple of weeks before an election Beddy. For crying out loud, it’s not rocket science!

Edit: he said pretty much exactly the same thing in the Telegraph on the day of the last general election, so it’s not even original!

Sorry didn't know that............Its obvious why the story got out yes.............I'm more concerned as to the content of the story. Although in truth I probably won't be voting labour anyway.........as I have said before I'll probably vote for the Looney party they would do just as well as either lot.

Chucking your vote away, not good enough. It’s time for everyone to make a choice.

I will be making a choice when all manifesto's are out.....................I really cant see me backing any of the main parties though.....oh for the record just joking about the looney party...............I really do not trust Corbyn or Johnson and certainly not the Lib Dems...........Doesn't leave me much though I agree........

That leaves you with the Green and Farage´s wealth of talent to choose from!!!!!!

PS: Feel free to add an appropriate suffix if you think it is needed.

Try this:

Don't try analysing anything.

If you have a heart for your fellow man - vote Labour (or vote tactically to stop the Tories).

If you don't give a crap about your fellow man and are bat-**** crazy - vote Tory.

If you are a daydreamer and a bit bat-**** crazy - vote Lib Dem.

If you are completely bat-**** crazy - vote Brexit Party.

Good summary!

On Friday we had a Lib-Dem election pamphlet through the letterbox followed on Saturday by the Labour Party's leaflet.

Today we had the Tory party election campaign leaflet through the door. It was an enormous document heaping praise on Johnson and denigrating the other leaders and making out Johnson did a great job in the BBC TV debate. Gove had contributed and I am convinced that Johnson actually edited it himself as it is so packed full of ****ing Tory lies. The only trouble is I buy the Sunday Times for the news not for Tory party propaganda. It is already in the bin.

Heard a clip on radio with Johnson presenting his manifestó. Has there ever been a PM as uninspiring as this guy? I don't t think he believes what he is uttering, himself as he sounds passionless. It makes you wonder whose agenda is he presenting, and it won't benefit his core vote either.
