Were you in the top or bottom of the campus. I was in the top - H Block!! :emoticon-0140-rofl:

Was H block the top? That was where I was in the first year - but A block rings a bell? I remember not having a light in my room for a week and they kept ignoring my requests to get it repaired in the book we had in reception. I still remember to this day what got it fixed, I wrote in the maintenance book:

There once was a man named Mark,
Who was fed up of sitting in the dark,
It was so frustrating,
He got fed up of waiting,
And tore the poor maintenance man apart.

Funny what you remember :)

Yes, I'm pretty sure that it was the top block. I was in the top block in halls as well, block 4 I think.

Regarding your last sentence, if Boris gets his Brexit it will be at least in part due to Jo Swinson grandstanding her personal animosity to Jeremy Corbyn, and in so doing scuppering hopes for a VoNC and interim government of National Interest.

But let’s not start apportioning blame for something that hasn’t happened yet.
. I Will apportion blame right where it belongs. Lock, stock and barrel on the Conservative party for allowing the ERG to lay its agenda and become the dominant forcé within the party. The Tory party alone is to blame for the Brexit fiasco. They dreamt it up and somehow it gathered legs when it should have been thwarted dead in it's tracks by a succession of weak leaders. It is disgraceful that a centre right party has taken this course of action.

I'd like to think there's something poetic about him marching us towards brexit, then marching us out. But there's not. Just a giant mess. And he started all this, just so he could get the top job. Whats the bet he walks the day after we leave........I wouldn't be surprised.

If we held a referendum when May released her deal this would have been over one way or another a year and a half ago.

People Don't always know what's best for them which is why populism is a bad thing.

......but if parliament cannot agree and cannot come to an agreement.........What happens then??????

Also I'm a bit mystified as to how opposing people are able to stop a vote on something in parliament. Surely that is undemocratic too??

A referendum was what was needed for them to come to an agreement.
The public did not want it but it was needed for what they did want - a quick resolution. Like paying tax for public services.

They voted on when to have the vote.
Its not really more or less democratic as there is still only one vote. They just want to make sure everything will go through before giving approval.

It makes a deal more likely and no deal Brexit less likely. Thought you would be happy with that.
