Just wondering when they are gonna catch that serial graffiti artist that seemingly gets free reign. Pretty sure anyone else caught spraying on public walls wouldn't get the same response. Anyone fancy trying it . lol

Don’t you get bored of calling everyone racist?

Your mindset is absolutely pathetic, honestly. People voted for Brexit for a whole host of reasons.

Free speech my arse, misinformation, lies, racist hate speech, incitement to violence and riots totally debunked stolen election rhetoric. Providing a platform for Tommy two names, other far right provocateurs and Putin bots.. Bollocks such as this:-
"Musk shared a fake Telegraph article claiming Keir Starmer was considering sending far-right rioters to “emergency detainment camps” in the Falklands.

Musk deleted his post after about 30 minutes but a screenshot captured by Politics.co.uk suggests it had garnered nearly two million views before it was deleted.

In it, Musk shared the image posted by the co-leader of the far-right group Britain First, Ashlea Simon, which she captioned with, “we’re all being deported to the Falklands”.

There's many more examples that warrant investigation and possible charges.

Did you know Threads has been active in the EU since 14th December 2024 as widely reported? As for Pravda there's no truth in that or China.

The “downfall” of Threads is that Threads is garbage. It’s basically people fishing for more Instagram/onlyfans follows by either thirst trapping or rage baiting. The same questions are posted up by pretty much everyone to try and drive engagement

it’s unusable because the demographic that use Instagram flood it with nonsense so that even if journalists and what not wanted to use it as a replacement they just get drowned out

Throughout all of human history, the side that censors free speech has never been the good guys. No matter how they try and justify it

Yesterdays child stabber in Leicester Square was a homeless Romanian guy.

I have many questions about why/how he ended up being allowed to stab children in England’s capital city.

If that isn’t conclusive proof that our border policies are absolutely abysmal then I don’t know what more people need.

Hate speech isn’t free speech. Lies and misinformation aren’t free speech. Incitement to crime isn’t free speech. These things are abuses of free speech.

There is only one group of people panicking about the potential response to a crack down on hate speech online. It’s those who are guilty of it who have got away with it. The slippery slope defence is pearl clutching from the perpetrators who just want to carry on getting away with it.

Also - our free speech laws are different to the US. But the right wing grifters and hacks and their cultish sycophants do this thing where they pretend the whole world is the US. Even the ones born in this country. It’s how you even get Musk’s civil war nonsense. Or comment from Americans saying “hur durh - this is what happens when you give up your guns”. As if their country is so much safer with gun proliferation to a ridiculous degree. When it’s the opposite

I can name one who was a STATE LEADER, Blair!! Cameron, Sunak and Johnson had a complete lack of the skillsets for that term to be applied in their case.

I don’t think there is any reason why Musk shouldn’t interview Trump on X, by all accounts it was an absolutely terrible interview anyway, but that’s by the by.

Weaponising his platform to stoke civil tension in the U.K. is another matter, but I don’t know the best way that we could deal with that at the moment, other than to make X/Twitter legally liable for the impact of what is posted on the platform as publisher and possibly have the Government disengage from the platform.

Many of the ‘freedom of speech’ defences are coming from the US, but let’s be honest if it was a UK citizen weaponising a similar platform against the US, the U.K. government would have the US government crawling all over its arse, just look at their reaction to the emergence of TikTok.

Must be a nightmare for his campaign team. The orange chump's inane ramblings repeating his debunked lies and conspiracies, haemorrhaging votes. Perhaps it's agent Musk doing his bit for humanity and consigning the convicted felon and fraudster to obscurity, probably in a jail cell.

Oh I don’t care about the interview with Trump. I’ve heard bits and to people without their heads up their backsides (or Trump’s and/or Musk’s) they come across as terrible. Trump is moaning and slurring and rambling. It isn’t a focused interview with proper questions. Musk is just saying “yeah” to basically everything Trump says as he is both a sycophant/relying on him to appeal to his own fans and not an actual journalist. They could surely have got a pet journalist in?

It was also riddled with technical problems that Elon has lied about and has made him look like an amateur. There was loads of streaming going on at that time including on X and it was his that didn’t work? And this isn’t the first time. It was messed up when he tried to promote DeSantis (interesting that Trump has forgotten all about that Elon manoeuvre)

I’m sure Trump also spoke about Zelenskyy being impeached after their phone call - when it was Trump who was impeached. It’s basically videos of Trump crumbling in real time and I don’t see how it wins him any supporters.

BBC headline is predictably quite soft. But I guess they need to hedge.

For anyone still confused about why most of us do not think freedom of speech has been impinged by stopping racists from stirring up race hate and asking for violence, here is the story of one of the sentencings from the BBC:

Two women have admitted to being "agitators" in disorder outside a hotel housing asylum seekers in Manchester on 31 July.

Tracy Pearson, 53, and Michelle Jibson, 45, pleaded guilty to violent disorder during the incident.

After being remanded into custody, Pearson shouted over the judge: "Don't care. Freedom of speech is gone. Joke."

Jibson was remanded into custody and is due to be sentenced at Manchester Crown Court on 19 August.

So, the freedom we are losing is the freedom to stand outside someone's home and threaten their lives.

As the lovely Tracy says: Joke.

If he's here legally that's possibly more concerning.

Do we assume he got that idea from the same place Farage did? A certain accused sex trafficker who is part of this extended list of thin skinned right wing grifters who have more money than most can dream of but are still someone incredibly insecure
