It's more than funny, it's hilarious. You put up a post saying the majority on here have a biased attitude and immediately 5 different posters come on to defend the Labour MP.

Is that because the Tories have completely lost their way since Cameron became leader? No direction, little intellect, ill-thought out policies? I think that is why many on here are so critical. Whatever oñe thought of Thatcher, her Governments had a clear visión of the direction they were taking. (I am no fan of Thatcher.by the way) but there was leadership and direction with her!

I get what you are saying. But look above there are posts of

    Rich Tories
    Tories with second homes
Tories with kids at school in London but live elsewhere.

You can be rich and not a Tory, you can have two homes and not be a Tory. I could go on.

Who's perspective would that be? But anyway you've missed the point again.

Sort of, though it's a perspective that wouldn't be afforded to a Tory MP in the same situation.

So much strawmannery here yet again. We can’t comment on this case - which very much looks like bullshit - because we are more critical of Tory misdemeanours? Point us to one as shallow as this accusation and let’s see the truth of this.

I agree all MPs should be held accountable. It is interesting that both Starmer and Rayner have put their jobs on the line to back up their innocence. This is starkly different to a Tory party where the PM was found to have acted unlawfully and to have lied- yet not stepped down.

I am not a fan of Starmer but it is obvious that Labour are up against a very uneven playing field and have to be impeccable in their actions to get elected. The fact some are trying to make out this Raynor thing is in any way comparable to Tory behaviour over the last 5 years is just proof that too few people can see basic truths.

Pay them all a going rate & eliminate ALL other revenue streams. Step out of line & dispose.

I don't think anyone is saying that the Raynor thing is comparable to Tory behaviour in the last five years. Merely that people are generally (not just on here) quite...biased...and weighted in their responses. The sword is sharper for the side you don't like.

But but Tories are really nasty. Would you invite Cruella for supper? Not on your life. I I would however love to sit down to supper with Angela.

That point only works if the accusations are comparable. Is it biased to see someone who has potentially gained a small sum but is willing to stake her career on her own honesty differently to someone who has made a large sum and then refused to step down? I think it is quite normal to see these differently - and not a reflection of bias at all.

There are still a couple of decent tories - even though the party was taken over by Brexit candidates. Every person gets judged on their own actions and character.

My point was it would be interesting to see where many MPs register to vote and where they declare they live for their expenses.

Oh in this instance, I think the whole thing is embarrassing and ridiculous, and once more the more slavering section of the Tory party is making an arse of themselves.

I’m just not entirely sure everyone really gets judged on their actions and character, without that getting stained by who they represent in the larger picture. But that’s human nature, I guess.

My MP is Caroline Noakes for whom I have a great deal of respect and will hear nothing said against her. Sadly the rest of this current bunch of Tory Party incumbents seem intent on bleeding the country dry and **** the electorate.
