I guess the question is will they run the story for multiple days and beat it to death. Given they had almost nothing for Starmer and got 6 days …
Checked for you online - yes it’s prominent on the homepage of both.

I despise both publications, but if we make stuff up just to ‘prove a point’, we’re as bad as they are.

Read my comment again.

And also look at the top left of the print version of The Sun.

You don’t think we have a problem with a partisan press in this country?

I expect the same papers which routinely accused Jeremy Corbyn of anti Semitism carried prominent coverage of Israeli security services shooting a journalist in the face and beating up mourners at her funeral. I probably just missed it.

Yes, I do, to a degree, though no worse than anywhere else. But that’s not what you said.

Like The Mail you mean?

A quick search would show you they ran 6 articles about it. So, again, yes they’re dreadful, yes they’re biased, and yes you’re doing precisely the same thing you accuse them of doing.

Much of our print media is owned by oversees domiciled oligarchs relentlessly pushing a populist right wing agenda. The worst government in U.K. history can still rely on it’s voluble cheerleaders in the press. Our national broadcaster is so cowed by the threat to the license fee that they barely dare challenge Boris and his gang of clowns. And I’m part of the problem for pointing it out?

Not what I said. But if you want to sit in judgement of something, it would do you well not to be replicating the thing you’re accusing others of. That’s my point.

If you want to have a go at something for making stuff up, or ignoring facts, it’s better not to do so by making stuff up and ignoring facts.

The current conflation that people have between confusing opinion/feelings with evidence is enormously dangerous.

What facts did I make up? I made a sarcastic comment about about The Sun and The Mail, which is in fact vindicated by their respective front pages.

The orchestrated, cynical manipulation of public emotion by sinister right wing interest groups is enormously dangerous. In my opinion. If you consider me voicing that opinion to be in any way equivalent, I think you may be missing something significant.

I see the Tory party voted down the Labour suggestion for a windfall tax on oil companies.
All in it together.
Just going to see if I can create a delicious and nutritious meal for 30p.

I totally agree with this. I think the best news coverage in this country is Channel Four and it is no surprise that the Government is trying to change the ownership of this TV station. The BBC does not hold this government to account and Laura K was instrumental in the media's destruction of Jeremy Corbyn.

On a separate note, I wondered if anyone else was distrubed by the MoD's constant statements concerning the performance of the Russian army ? There has been an excessive amount of propoganda and really poor journalism on line with regard to this conflict with many outlets and news sites being extremely unprofessional in reporting unsubstantied nonsence as fact. It is all over MSC each morning but I do not feel that the MoD is really in a position to comment on the performance of a foreign army especially in the way that they have tried to supress the human rights abuses during the Troubles. Let's have some consistency here, please!

Thought the same about the briefings from the MoD they comes over as propaganda.

So the Met have concluded their Partygate investigation and no more fines for Boris.

Somehow managed to legally attend about four more illegal parties.

Now watch Kier Starmer get fined for having a beer with dinner at a constituency office and it become the apparent crime of the century when he resigns.
