Everyone should get a copy of Catherine Belton's book, Putin's People. It's impeccably researched, and a fascinating read.

So, according to the Tory Chairman, Boris wants to go to Ukraine. I'd like him to go as well.. preferably MARIUPOL!

Yes, I meant what I said. As bad as trump was, Biden is much worse than trump in my opinion. He has actually said fully racist things in the past. Calling black people poor etc.

He commands zero respect in the geopolitical games.

I will have to agree to disagree with you there.

IMO it doesn’t matter what side of the political fence you sit, Trump was (is) the worst political leader for generations.

Trump has as long a list of lies and deceit as spaffer Johnson. First class arsehole with blood on his hands. His support for the alt right likes of the proud boys is sickening.

100 likes Brinkworth. I despair at any thought of western leaders, NATO or whatever getting together to go the next step. And although an obvious step, the limited sanctions are only having a marginal affect which Putin will probably use to his advantage with the Russian people when it suits. I heard there’s been a surge on milk (?) recently …. 3 weeks on, The oligarchs have mostly side stepped. And in the meantime …..

I notice you didn’t address what I said. I challenged you specifically on the absurd claim that Biden is both more selfish and more narcissistic than Trump

You didn’t acknowledge those points and just went for a general “he is worse”

No one has written articles musing on whether Biden has narcissistic personality disorder. Heck, even the fact that Biden has embraced that he is balding compared to whatever trump is doing reflect that one is more narcissistic than the other

If you can come up with a compelling argument that Biden is more narcissistic than Trump than I would be eager to hear it. Same with the selfish descriptor as well.

I also note you made sure you grouped Biden and Harris together, presumably to try and make it worse because you can combine their various flaws? Nope, nothing doing. Trump is corrupt and lazy. His schedules were released showing him starting late and watching TV for large chunks of the day

I mean I get that you are very ideologically motivated but, and you are going to love this, “C’mon Man!”

As for historic racism - how about the Central Park Five and not renting to black people in the 70s?

But I suspect you are trolling / baiting with these comments and I have fallen for it completely

It’s funny because lots of people make claims of a thing called “Trump Derangement Syndrome”. But if you are serious then apparently Biden Derangement Syndrome is a very real thing.

The "Trump Tower" is a reasonable symbol of narcissum?

Something else that is missing, and has been since 2015 allegedly, are the names of visitors to Chequers.
Cameron, May and now Johnson have not revealed all the names of their visitors or the reasons for the visits.
As a result no one knows if they have abused their positions by carrying out party business in the grace and favour home and have the costs covered by the public purse.
Can’t find the link to the allegation just yet.

Chrystia Freeland's book Plutocrats: The Rise of the New Global Super-Rich and the Fall of Everyone Else is also a great read on the rise of the oligarchs, and how Putin maneuvered to control them.

Yet another example of how Johnson and Co have lowered the integrity of the current government and the tory party. Gone from a position of respect and influence to a bit player no longer welcome at the top table. Anglophile friends, a mixed race couple as we are, were dismayed at the change of atmosphere on a recent trip to England. Thankfully most here in the Netherlands don't tar all UK citizens with the same brush.

Poroshenko's role in this isn't as dramatic as Zelenskyy's, but it's somehow weirder than the Dancing With the Stars to national hero pipeline. Dude's under indictment for treason! They just basically agreed to forget about that for a bit because the country is under martial law, and now he is, at least publicly, commanding a battalion of the TDF.

Johnson will not be going to the Ukraine as it appears that neither of his official photographers can get insurance cover to go.

They therefore say they dare not risk it.

Without his official photographers Johnson has no reason or purpose to go.

This is a man, lest we forget, who hid in a fridge to avoid a BBC camera crew. As if he’s going anywhere near actual bullets.

Though in fairness hiding in a fridge from bullets would probably work
