It's a great argument offered by you Madhog.

"We're not experts. We must trust plod without question. Head plod says no indications of trouble. Dogs, plod and horses agogo at the ground though. It's okay though and hang the pointless expense and resources removed from crime because we played well."

Yeah and gates down because of ticket prices needing to be raised to pay for Police will in no way affect any potential player budget to gain strength in depth.

How many families gave it a miss yesterday fearing the HDM-predicted urban warfare?

I never said that, you know I never said that, you know you're twisting what I said and it makes you look petty and spiteful. I'm sorry I don't subscribe to knee jerk political views and don't feel any need to bash the police. Clearly you do, and you've reacted in the way your type usually do.

Source? I thought gates were down due to the global financial squeeze the majority of us are suffering from, plus a fair few stayed away yesterday because they assumed Millwall would run amok and there'd be no police to stop them. I know, morons, you'd think they'd have just rung Millwalls ticket hotline and found out they'd only sold 20 tickets.

****ing hell man. Stop digging. You're simply confirming the scenario I offered for your spiraled, illogical thinking.

And why would they stay away because they assumed that Millwall would run amok and there would be no police to stop them? The police said inthe HDM that they were ready for them and would stop any chance of trouble. And why refer to fans as morons who should have rung the Millwall ticket office. The police knew how many tickets Millwall had sold. And Millwall make fans supply details with proof of ID before selling away tickets so the police are the morons having the overkill. Mind you even with that information our useless police didn't have any success in bringing Millwall f ans to book who were throwing seats, but did manage to arrest City fans for waving their arms about and giving Millwall fans funny looks. Likewise they managed to arrest a load of City fans against Huddersfield but none of their fans who they had surrounded on the car park and whohad started the trouble but not been to the match as they were already on banning orders. Inept doesn't really begin to describe the policing of City games.Last time Millwall came we were reputed to have had to pay the police £80,000. It would have been cheaper to bring their fans up in taxis with each taxi containing their own personal ex SAS member as a guard. No need for all the dogs barking outside the East Stand spoiling the atmosphere. Who did they think was going to cause trouble there? no need to posture on the East Stand gantry either. Did they think that City fans would be so overcome at being 4-0 up they would attack each other? And why we're they filming City fans when there was nothing happening or likely to happen?
All this talk of City fans getting at the Millwall fans suggests we have a load of nervous ninnies amongst our supporters. How and why would they have done that even without the police there? the stewards could havestopped them until the police were brought in from outside. Mather stewards had to do that when hundreds of Millwall fans kicked off due to their ineptness.
Cardiff and Leeds, a game with far more history and two worse sets of f ans didn't have the policing we did. The Emirates managed to accommodate 3,000 away fans in a 60,000 crowd with just a fence and a half dozen stewards between the fans, not acres of space like we have even for a supposed sell out, with just half a dozen coppers in ordinary uniforms, not riot gear. Not a copper in sight at many other grounds with far.larger crowds than ours.
Anyone defending our inept police, who have been found wanting every time they have actually been needed, is either a bit mentally deficient or have a connection to the police through family.
Will they reproduce that picture of rugby fans booting each other on the CravenPark pitch or being hit by some obese munter's stiletto with stern warnings in the HDM that they are ready for the rugby hooligans? Or following a number of attacks on coaches after rugby matches and fans complaining on the RL forum they are scared to come to Hull because of the hostility of fans will be out in force, as it is their duty, as one apologist forthem wrote, to ensure the away fans safety?Or telling the people attending Ladies Day that due to there being more arrests on that one day than all season at the KC they will be out in force with dogs, horses and a zero tolerance approach. I'll guess at no myself.

I'll assume you won't be commenting on tactics or performance of the team in future as you have no experience of running a professional football team? Or the government. As you have no experience of economics or any other business of theirs.

Jesus, why the hate of the paragraph? It's your friend ffs.

I'm only saying what a bunch of fans said on RH, FB and on twitter. I called them morons for not checking.....as an ironic joke...because earlier....actually why am I bothering to explain anything to you because you clearly can't read or understand irony or sarcasm given your post.

I assume you won't disagree with anyone else's views on team tactics etc because you shouldn't be posting here unless you share the same view as everyone else?

Honestly I think that's better than living in a drug induced paranoia where I think the Police State and State Sponsored Media Thugs are out to get me. Wait, you're not paranoid if they ARE out to get you, right?

So, is your defence of the police's inept handling of the game irony or sarcasm?

I'll post my own opinions on here as you are one of those who thinks that people withno experience of policing shouldn't criticise them, not myself. Although how, if you have no experience of policing and crowd control, you are qualified to judge they're doing a good job of it is another matter.

I agree with you on some of those, the hate for Brown and Pearson seems unecessary, although we don't know the full story in Pearson's case. The rest of it's ball though. You're always posting tearful stuff like this when someone disagrees with you. Just argue the point like a man and it'll sort itself out in minutes. All this 'I can't speak my opinion' crap is just tiresome and makes everything a debate about debating rather than any topic.

Whatever your view is, it will be debated fairly and reasonably on here and people who couldn't cope with your opinion in a sensible manner would be the villains here. If you just post saying that you dont like this board, call everyone who disagrees with you a 'hater' even if ironically it's on a topic where you seem to be the one hating someone and others are defending them (such as Barmby of course) and keep going on about not being able to go on, that's when people see you as the thread numpty and start having a go.

All the outside cops would have been on normal time - not overtime. A lot would most likely have had their day off cancelled and changed.

There are a lot of sources onto hooligan groups, and the official ticket sales have didly squat to do with anticipated trouble. People who buy tickets are the ones sat in the stand behaving. The cops would have been worried about the ones who travelled up without tickets for a fight. No one on here, including me, has any idea what the intelligence said may happen.

Take away the dogs, etc, and you may have seen a small band of supporters feel like they may have got away with a good scrap.

I watched the game and remember the first half spanking. I think it is pathetic to have a dig at what turned out to be a safe match with no trouble. Sounds like a sucess story, to me.

    FAO Madhog/Happy Clapper:

This person has a similar stance to you and has put his side forward sensibly with no tears. Try to follow this sort of example.

Has he been called an idiot for that view yet? How about being told he's a copper or burying his head in the sand? My first post quite neutral and was a sensible way to put my view forward, Erik and DMD saw fit to start name calling and twisting my words. Should I have ignored them? Probably. Funny how they both troll, get a reaction and the person they get a reaction from is treated like a troll.

I know you're new at the mod thing but the idea is you're neutral, telling people to stop crying, when they're not, they're simply arguing a different view is to put it politely, ****ing childish.
