Exactly. I'm sure the Chief Constable will appreciate your in depth knowledge and experience and will be able to continue to provide a trouble free match day, at a massive cost saving Erik et al.

I still can't believe in a week we settled the Nick thing, played Millwall and there was no bother, and humped them 4-0 into the bargain with players from all over the side scoring, whingers need to whinge about stuff they've no clue about. Cheer the **** up.

Actually, there will be quite a few on here with more experience of crowd control than the Police. They're trained in riot control, not crowd control. Several expert inquiries have looked into it and concluded the same. So in this case, it's you that is talking out of ignorance.

Also, you have now not allowed yourself ay right to complain about pricing at football, civil liberties and general law and order issues. Not a bad haul for one ill conceived opinion really.

    Amazing.

It seems there are still one or two dinosaurs on here who think policing visiting away fans is guesswork, and that the resources needing to be employed are a stab in the dark which hopefully will match the numbers actually arriving.

Yeah you're right although more than likely from the other side from the Police.

So, because I think the police do a good job, and have more of a clue about actually what goes on than you seem to realise you've decided I can't have any opinions? I see now why you're so popular on CI and why you're a mod on here, the delusional thing seems to be a requirement.

Interesting you talk about ignorance then make a comment based around all police. This might be news to you but the coppers you see at the game etc aren't necessarily the same people who make the decisions about Public Order and Safety Management. Those decisions are made by people trained in....oh go on, say something funny in response to this.

Let me guess, "this is a forum where people can put forward their opinions and post whatever they want, unless those opinions and views are at odds with mine"?

It's even more amazing that some fossils on here think policing is the same as it was in the 70s and 80s, and are equating the fact there's way less trouble at matches with this meaning we need less police at matches and that they need to change their approach to policing games.

Care to back up this claim that you know more than the rest of us about what goes on? Also, can you back up this claim that I'm saying you can't have an opinion that differs from mine?

Yesterday was trouble free despite, not because of Police efforts. Given the recent report into the incompetence and lies of a nearby force, you'd think they'd be wise to use a bit of PR.

So how many police were needed yesterday to police the 125 (approx) Millwall fans, only approx 1/3rd of whom looked like heterosexual adult males?

Do you think the police knew how many fans would be coming?

I cant believe we are arguing about this after the best game for many a year.

In the HDm report the copper even says it is a low threat, just the HDM going for the cheap headlind as usual (ok mussy)!!ha

Sorry Dutch, no police no stewards and the idiots would have been straight over to the Millwall lot.

    Lets move on.

Dutch and I am not having a go at you but that nearby police force was 30 years ago and you talk of dinosaurs laughable, my point is Millwall are known for a minority of trouble makers so if the police deem it necessary to deploy a few more officers I really can not see the problem anyway up the Tigers the future is looking bright, Bright AMBER cheers, Alan

Bollocks. What idiots for a start?

I'm amazed some of you are so gullible and so happy to fork out needless cash for pointless Policing. ANYONE, without much effort at all could have known how many away fan were coming and that the risk of trouble was zero. You say yourself that despite the disgraceful HDM headline, the article showed the press and head plod knew the same. So, why the dogs and posing then?

Did I mention dinosaurs? The 30 years ago continued up until this week and I've already said, without any access to the expensive Police resources ANYBODY would have known that there was ZERO potential for trouble. The big plod even said so in the paper. So no need for the dogs and posing at our expense.

it was a few years ago i know, but remember when the our finest had a full robo-turnout for those known trouble makers, Torquay.

sorry but it is more about filling police and policeperson's pockets than crowd control. (notice the politically correct non-dino reference there) DON'T CALL ME A DINOSAUR EH?

i suggested some years ago that from my experience of visiting football matches in other regions over many many years, Hull City could be better served by Greater Manchester Police or others. The Oldham football policing has always been trouble-free, friendly and fair in my experience for instance. Unfortunately, the Humberside lot have a monopoly on it cos of where we live. Perhaps, a truly competitive market would shake up the service we receive

Hah, omg no, it was 4-1 yeah you're right, **** me, what a **** day. Bastard coppers probably funded by Murdoch in his evil plan to take over the world and enslave us all. I mean, that over policing really ****ed the day up and took the shine off what otherwise woulda been a great victory.

I think this forum needs a "Guide for New Posters" and make sure it includes the following:

    1. No homophobic or racist posts unless its banter
    2. You must not side with the Police ever
    3. Even if we win 15-0 you must post at least one message that is whinging and negative about something
    4. Brownie must never be praised for what he did for us. Ever.
    5. Nigel Pearson must never be praised for anything. Ever.
    6. Nick must not be criticized for anything. Ever.
    7. You must never, ever, put a counter argument up against anyone complaining/praising the above hero and villains.

That's just a starter, I'm sure you can add more.

If it had '8. Don't post clueless bollocks' the list wouldn't have appeared in the first place.

no need for me to add more, you are making enough of a t i t of yourself without anyone else contributing. May i suggest that you keep the main stream toe-the- line views you obviously possess. You ll be cleaning your car every Sunday on your drive, having 'made-it' in your dream home on Kingswood before you can utter the words "don't question anything".

Oooooh I can't respond to either of these well thought out and articulated arguments, so you both win.

Heh you're funny. You're different! Like everyone else! lol.
