Hey all

my son has asked fir a PS5 for Christmas. However, stock is an absolute nightmare. Been looking out since mid June and nothing anywhere. Anyone have any idea how I can get hold of one?
 
It's like some mythical being. I think it was about a year ago it was first on sale and I've never had a sniff of one since.

There's always a chance of an influx for Christmas, they must be trying for that. I think it's a shortage of a particular chip that has been the problem.

Hotstock is another app to try if Discord isn't your thing. Simply install it, make an account then select the products you want notifications for. Its a few mins slower than Discord but it gives you a link direct to the product page.

The stock has been available on one retailer or another everyday for a few weeks now. You just got to be quick.

Argos is the best bet, just make sure you're signed into argos with all your payment details already on your account.

When they get stock they update each warehouse individually, usually starting from the North West, then London, then about 3 hours after the 1st one in the NW becomes available they start popping up round here. Just keep an eye on it, refreshing every fee mins as if its deadline day on the day you get an argos notification.

I got 3 kids, 2 want the xbox and the other the PS5. Started looking last Thursday and I've got all three. First time I've ever been this organised for Xmas!!!


Did the same thing in Jan to get myself one.

Just keep an eye on one of them 2 apps and you'll sharp get one.

I got an Xbox X pretty early and gave it to my nephew cos he was gutted he didn’t get on, assuming I’d get another soon enough.

8 month on I still haven’t got one <laugh>

Same is happening now with the new iPhones there’s gonna be massive stock shortages after the initial stock goes right through to January.
 
The cash exchange near the bridges have had them in recently but in there yesterday and none , 3 XBOXES in there though £600+ each ! there is a shop on Fawcett st, and where the old echo shop was, high st east.
 
I've been signed up for updates via discord and i can tell you amazon and very have been the ones with the most stock over the last few months. might be worth signing up at very and then checking it regularly
