If we could recoup what we paid for Peltier I would sell. Nigel could find better use of the money

Sven paid as much for Peltier as Nigel did for Ben Marshall so i just shows he is better with the chequebook

a front 2 of heskey - fuller with a 3rd man of fryatt would be deadly of they could achieve that...

We're not signing Heskey, we expect to sign Nick Proschwitz from SC Paderborn 07 for £2m at some point today and I've no idea if there's anything in this Fuller story.

We've also offered a one year deal to Abdoulaye Faye, to cover while Hobbsy is out.

And we think that Bruce has gone back to Sunderland with a bid for Ahmed Elmohamady on a permanent and David Meyler on loan(possibly only until January).

2M is hell of a lot for you to spend on a unknown player.

Compensation has been agreed with Portsmouth for Marko Futacs and he should be announced as a Leicester player today

I had this concern too, but I looked at his goal scoring record and he has been consistently scoring at every Club he has been too which have been around the Swiss top Division and the Bundesliga. 2.

VfL Wolfsburg II - 16 goals in 36 games.
Hannover 96 II - 11 goals in 33 games.
FC Vaduz - 23 goals in 29 games.
FC Thun - 8 goals in 31 games.
SC Paderborn 07 - 17 goals in 33 games.

He is only 25 too. It's a good risk IMO.

They are all micky mouse clubs in piss poor divison. He is yet to play in a league like the championship

But still, he's been scoring lots of goals from a young age which is pretty good. I'm fairly optimistic about him signing. Seen some footage of him and he has a great touch and finish. He's 6 foot 3, and strong so he's fine with the physical aspects of the Championship.

Great signing IMO.

Youtube signings

Hossein Kaebi and Yann Kermorgant looked great signings on youtube but was cack when we signed them

You cant call him a great signing bearing in mind you had never heard of him a few weeks ago and still dont know much about him. The thing for us if Vardy doesnt hit the goal trail is we have Beckford, Nugent, Waghorn, Schlupp and Futacs to score goals aswell

Apart from Fryatt who would you have? You would have a few expensive flop on your books just like you did before Nigel took over there. We have had a few of them over the years. Not good to have

So Vardy is a massive risk for us yet this Nick bloke isn't a risk despite costing twice as much and probably not knowing English?

Seems legit.

I don't think there is anything wrong with trying a player like this, but the £2m price tag that would concern me if I was a Hull fan. We were lambasted for our spending last year but we never spend that much on an untested player. So really it's a bigger gamble than anything Sven did last season. And what would annoy me is that you could easily get a tried-and-tested player for that price.

It'll either be a stroke of genius by Bruce or a complete waste of £2m.

Thought Elmohandy looked good on the, admittedly limited, footage I've seen of him ..

He speaks perfect English and having played top flight and second tier league football in various countries and being the Bundesliga 2 top scorer last season, he's really not that much of a punt.

He is definitely a gamble whether you admit it or not! Players have been good in the top flight of other countries and not cut it in the Championship before now. So to take this chance, and pay £2m into the bargain, is a big gamble. He might well come good, but to say it isn't a "punt" is inaccurate.

The SPL is nowhere near the quality of Bundesliga 2, which isn't far off the Championship.

The Bundesliga 2 isnt that good. It doesnt matter how successful he is abroad 2M is a hell of a gamble. We gambled in the past with DJ Campbell who had a decent record and he was a massive flop.

2M is still alot of money for a striker in this league

Every signing is a gamble, this fella seems have all the attributes required to be a success in the Championship, I expect he will be, if he isn't you can all take the piss(that being the case, I promise to only mention Mills once in each post).
