he could have came here before Parky, i thought Wycombe had blew it in March but the ppg rule was in their favour, but Peterbororough woud ahve went up, now we face pompey, Oxfors and Peterboro again next season as well as Ipswich and most likely Wigan, who should walk this division next season.
That’s what almost every club down here said about us our first season down here!

Looking at our threadbare squad, The calibre of player we are linked with, The ambition (or lack of) of the owners, The general apathy among a large section of our fanbase....I would be more inclined to worry about staying in league 1 rather than playoffs of automatic promotion next season

I think we'll likely have a similar season to the one we just had. Although I think Parkinson will do OK with a squad to work with from day 1. Despite spending 1 and 3 quarters season in League 1, I still know nothing of the "quality" down here. (others may know more) so I'm leaving the "calibre of players" to the manager and staff (I think Parkinson's OK - not sure about the scouting staff mind but hey ho!)

It’s not the quality that’s a the biggest issue, it’s mentality.

Players simply don’t know how to handle 30k crowds and pressure at this level.

Absolutely agree! Need Ken Way who @Brian Storm used to talk about! He'd get their heads in the right place!

Or just need a few journeymen. It may suit us if they start behind closed doors!

I don't fecking know! Sick of trying to work it out as well!!

Really good point.

Who have we got who can handle or thrive on it?

Maguire, O'Nien....

Big characters

Mental and physical strength is needed imo both in short supply at SAFC atm. We need some momentum, first few games are massive whatever the circumstances.

Don't think we need to worry about players handling 30k crowds mind, at least not for next season. Probs only going to be opening at 40% of ground capacity so 16-20k max crowds imo.

The away support will still be excellent imo.

Agree with this like. Actually think it will be really hard to get tickets as we generally sell out everywhere we go, put some Covid restrictions in place and we'll only be allowed 40% or so of tickets. Even with the drop off in attendances due to Covid demand will still outstrip supply imo.
