Quote from Owlstalk "its really going to be a crap play off final with a half empty wembley with us not being there" :emoticon-0106-cryin personally, i think the world of football will recover from this massive blow <cheers>

I wonder how many would have a bet on that? Less than 45,000 there? I would put a fair wedge on with any of them daft enough to have a wager on it.

Yeah exactly. Derby and Norwich are really small places and they get miles ****ing bigger attendances.

And despite being smaller than Hull more in the Championship than we got in the PL as well.

Comparing averages isn't a route we go down. Getting a massive 93 per game more than Burnley, which has a population similar to Bransholme is nothing to brag about.

We will probably be about 16th in the Championship for attendances next year unless the Allams go, we get sensible owners and concessions are restored. All of which are unlikely.

But we don't go around saying how MASSIVE we are, with a preposterous sense of entitlement and belittling other clubs.

Which is entirely the point.

I don't agree - sorry. Some of the best penalty takers aren't always centre forwards.

Lampard and Baines.

This was not just 1 penalty that need to be taken, if it was I could sort of see your point that the center forward may not take it. They needed 5 players to take 1 each and he didn't feel confident enough to be one of the top 5 of the 11 on the pitch to kick the ball into the goal from 12 yards in a one on one, as a striker that's really really bad and he deserves all the flak he's getting

Never read the patronising, condescending posts on here and elsewhere about the Villagers of Burnley? Or little Bournemouth?
I have seen people decrying Sunderland's support which puts ours to shame home and away.

Gave up trying to make a Leeds fan, who had stated they get 30,000 every week, that they couldn't if their average was 27,000.
Probably went to the same mathematics lessons as the writer to the HDM who used to claim Hull was a rugby city as FC were averaging 12,000 and Rovers 8,000, which meant the average rugby league game had a crowd of 20,000.

Some posters have just got a little bit of oxygen with the word before forward.

It's different. Totally different. People take this piss out of Man Utd/ Chelsea etc on here too - doesn't mean to say that we, as fans of a club, believe ourselves to be superior in club or in on the pitch terms.

Last season, Wednesday fans were clearly equating their tickets sold at Wembley to their superiority over us hence the piss taking.
