Only 6 more posts for it to be a proven fact that pies are indeed much more important than rugby.

I bet you'd get more people willing to watch the Pie World Cup final on tele than the Rugby.

Steak and Ale vs Chicken and Veg in the final, Veg sent off after 15 minutes for a two footed tackle on gravy and Steak and Ale took control of the game from that moment, punching holes in the pastry until it was just a battered mess.

The game never really got going but the crowd loved the game, one supporter has his say here...

"I'd just bought me and my three lads the new Chicken and Veg strip, you know, shorts and socks and the lot... was hoping for a better effort from the 'Cocks' but we were let down by a silly mistake, in the end though we thoroughly enjoyed the game, much better that ****ing Ruby".

There you have it ladies and gents.

Led away shouting and kicking ' im a ****ing game pie. Dont you want a slice?'

She got a red card for taking her top off, you could see two pigeon breasts just sitting pert on top of the pie... she screamed at the cameras as she was leaving the pitch "After you'd got past my breasts you could have seen my beaver"...

But i once bought a box of cherry bakewells. Pure sugar muck for the kids. One of them didnt have a cherry.

Image of some lard arsr stuffing cherries down his duds to take home and make a cherry pie and keep the rest for rancid new year drinks.

How about pasties then. Traditional Cornish ones according to the local butcher when we lived down that way was that the meat, then tatie and then any veg you wanted went on the top in layers. Local ones always had turnips as top layer with a sprinkle of sage or some other herbs to suit.

Love a cornish pastie.

You.ll probably know this better than me. A traditional pastie was both savoury and sweet.

i.e. one half was a meat pasty. Then the other a sweet pasty of apples or berries etc.

This was for the workers. Miners etc.
So they could have a whole meal contained in one pasty.

Am i on the right lines?
