I don't think I've ever had a problem with seeing images on Firefox so it might not necessarily be that.

Some images I can see, some I cannot (Firefox) .
There is obviously a rendering issue of some kind with whatever the final HTML/XML
form of the 'image' text is.

With Firefox, I always see the three dots for piccies when looking at not606 while
not logged in. So for the occasions when logged in that I get the three dots, that
would suggest the rendering mode is being driven by stuff like login cookies
perhaps being mis-interpreted.
