Lively on here innit.
Did surprise me that Phelan's contract negotiations has been done over the phone and email with the owners. Very poor.

I do agree Chazz. For the most part it was a fairly valiant defensive display, albeit with a few glaring errors that Man U failed to capitalise on. But nothing looks much different from the Bruce era. We look to get the ball forward a bit quicker and more centrally which is probably a big plus, but otherwise it's still defensive, dour, backs to the wall and it's always a game of chance of whether the opposition can make constant heavy pressure pay.

Bringing off our only attacking outlet for another centre half was a tragic decision. Was he not around for the amount of times Bruce did it and we went on to concede? Ridiculous. Harry should have had that ball covered too, just stood there, hesitated a bit and watched it roll past him.

Despite the results I've not seen enough on the pitch to suggest Phelans the man to take us forward. We need someone a little more daring IMO. The teams who have been unexpectedly successful haven't done it by sitting back and defending. The teams who have got themselves relegated have. Go figure.

Sorry mate. Desperate stuff and hard to watch at times today yes,but even a caretaker manager deserves more than 6 games before the trap door opens, especially when we beat last seasons Champions followed by arguably 3 of the best sides in the country in our opening fixtures.

We'll have to be quick, Stoke could beat us to it. Then again, if the article can't even get the result right...

Chazz is a bit angry it seems. Im on record saying I didnt want Phelan to be our manager and I still dont want him to be.
Problem is no-one wants to be our manager.
7 points, 6 games. Likely 7 points in 7 games. That's a survival rate, given the last two home results, our next fixture and todays result.
Phelan is likely the best option available. The players seem to want him - an important consideration don't you think ?

sheesh dont be so ****ing Canadian!

Ye you too.

you happy with this attacking intent Phelans showing? Its miles different isnt it. We really go out and have a go.

I was very happy with our approach in the opening games and the points return achieved.

I'm obviously not happy with the last two league results, but as they were against two of the best three teams in the league and we played the majority of both games with ten men, I'm not reading too much into either.
