It worked for Leicester because they had some very good players. We don't have anyone like Mahrez, Vardy, Okazaki. We don't even have an Ulloa or Schlupp. We've just got Snodgrass. Beating Swansea was overachieving because they've got a premier league squad. They've been mid table PL for years. They've got a world cup winner up front. We're playing kids and reserves who never got near our team in the championship last season out of pure desperation. I don't get why people can't see how bad the squad situation actually is.
Yes they did have some good players but not a squad that should have won the pl. I agree the squad situation is bad but what I'm saying is we carnt afford to set up negative at home to teams like WBA. We need to be positive and pick wins up at home but if we don't then we are expected to go down anyway so what's to lose
So we play negatively with no ambition with our record signing played out of position and its the fault of the Allams. Dickhead changes it at half time and we're all over them... Your logic is ****.
What does this prove? Even WBA have got people like Nacer Chadli, Rondon, etc. They're simply a cut above us and that's one of the weaker sides in the division. The fact we managed to compete with them at all with this squad is a success. Every game we play in this league is equivalent to us playing a cup game against a PL side whilst in the championship. Cos that's what our squad is.
Hull City 2016. Premier League status. Championship squad. League One management structure. League Two attendances. But hey, the club is run on a shoestring. The £30m debt has been transformed into a... £100m debt. Sound business principles. Allam style.
We desperately need a pacy winger. Snodgrass is probably our best player right now but he's pretty slow. Right-footed left-winger should be the top priority alongside another striker. As for the booing, I wouldn't boo myself but I understand why others have. Voting with your feet and not turning up would be preferable until we get new owners.
presumably because we couldn't even beat the likes of Rotherham, Bolton, Charlton, Preston last season - in fact we played garbage more often than not - why should we be better this season against significantly better teams
Are they **** a cut above. Morrison, Blunt, Fletcher!! Our midfields better than that or could be. Our CB's are better. Mbokanis an excellent player not helped by the formation. Ours squad is a championship squad!! Is it ****. Ask Newcastle or Villa how hard the Championship is or Norwich. Just cos we had a season there doesnt mean all the players are championship level. **** me Dawson been a Pl player for how long? GTF
At this very moment our current available team is worse - add the pace of Odubajo & Robbo plus a confident Hernandez & we'd be a few points better off or at least having a go at teams
