All you've got you sad **** is Bruce Alex Bruce and meyler. Same ****ng record.
We were ****ing **** yesterday. Would you pick diomande? I bet you ****ing would you clueless ****

I wouldn't have signed an injured player in the first place, but Bruce did, again, - having signed him and got rid of Aluko, I would look at who we had up front and who could track back to defend as well - Abel isn't that man so in the circumstances we have no-one else - our squad is woefully light and that's a combination of poor Bruce signings and the total lack of investment in the squad by the Allams - I've no idea why we spent almost £20 million in two days in August, maybe they thought the sale was done and it was accounted for, maybe the PL told them to spend otherwise they would not give them the tv money because they were taking the piss out of the brand, maybe they were looking after their gift - who knows, but it was too little too late

Diomande was decent in the first half yesterday. Some people just need a scapegoat.
He was decent until he got a bang on the head after approx 25 mins then looked dazed.
Significantly both times he went down AH remained sat on the bench rather than warming up...also AH wasn't warming up with the other subs at half time !

Diomande isn't good enough for the premier league , I'm not making him a scapegoat , he seems like a decent guy out of his depth that's all
From what I've seen or picked up so far Dio's not on his own in that category. Mason, Henriksen, Meyler, Maloney, Maguire, Keane, Weir spring to mind. It's the manager's job to make the team more than the sum of its parts.

Dio did fine first half yesterday, but faded in the second.

What was odd for me was playing two midfielders in defence while a centre half sat on the bench.
Serious question. What did he do?

They showed two clips on motd. One he chested a ball down and it went ten yards away. The other clip showed him do well hold two players off, get his head up and pass straight to Kante.

He was constantly tracking back and putting tackles in during the first half. He often plays himself into trouble, but first half he was useful. Second half he just became anonymous.

Exactly. 7 points from 7 games. $
Got to say im surprised at some of the comments on this board recently... Some of the posters that are usually sensible are waffling utter crap.

* We have had the 7 most difficult games than any other team this season. Played the Champions and won, and then Man-u, Arsenal, Liverpool & Chelsea.

* From the teams that we should be looking to get something from, WE HAVE. Swansea, Burnley (also beat Stoke in the cup)

* We have not yet had a realistically winnable game at the KC this season, and most will agree we will stay up by winning our "winnable" home games.

* We were well beat by the big teams, so what? Most teams get beat by top 6 teams. 2 rare red cards for us also didnt help.

* We have new players still settling into the squad, give them time to gel.

* Phelan is trying to get us to play, something we rarely did under Bruce yet we all called for it... Be happy we're trying to play good football, it takes time... look at Man-u under Jose, he still says he's trying to get the "Van Gaal" out of his team.. Well we're still getting the negatives from Bruce out of our team.

* Still with all the bullshit happening at the club, no new owners and no manager in place, we arnt rock bottom of the table like we ALL thought we would be.
Exactly . Well said.
7 points from 7 games. 4 losses against top 7 teams. 4 points away from home. 3 at home against 12th place teams and below.
Can't ask for more. Survival form, as you say, with all the other **** happening.

What disappoints me, but doesn't surprise me, is that when we had very good reason to be critical of SB, the posters now criticising MP defended SB in the same vitriolic terms they now use to attack MP and his supporters.

Bruce had all of the time in the world and not a small amount of money to prove himself in the PL.

Phelan has had limited resources, he is a temporary manager by default and he did well in games were we thought there was hope and not so well in the games where we thought he had little hope. He also lacks full experience and his distractions are many and hugely unhelpful. I don't necessarily agree with some of his selections, but I can understand why he might make them. What I don't understand is why we have posters jumping on his bones to get out when we all know he is the victim of an Allam clusterfuck.

That's what I'm worried about Fez. Jak was outstandIng in his starts. Marshall good at Stoke...not good at Liverpool. If Marshall keeps his place against Chelsea I'm afraid Jak's attitude will be..."Well **** it..what else do I have to do. I'm out of here". He's been amazingly loyal for three years...even when McG was making mistakes virtually every week after his injury and Bruce kept picking him when he was not 100% and we got relegated. I don't think Jak will bite his tongue again. And that would be a big mistake on Phelan's part.

Not to worry; if he does decide to go, we'll surely get £15m for him at least after his outstanding performances this season.

Criticism of Mike Phelan from me is restricted to his starting line up at Liverpool.
We need Dawson back and if we can avoid further injuries and suspension's, I think we will have a better idea of MP's capability to manage a game.
At our level having a full squad to select from is vital. But I am still concerned that Maguire is not being used when he is clearly fit and he is a defender. Its a concern and not a criticism.
Bournemouth away will be a test.

Do you pick a formation and stick with it no matter what or adapt a formation to fit your best players?
Obviously it's B.
We had Abel Hernandez sat On the bench pissed off. He didn't even warm up when dio got poked in the eye first half. So he knew he wasn't coming on. That's our top goal scorer pissed off.

The other weeks I've been saying play Hernandez and mbokani together he didn't he played Abel with dio. The formation is all then with phelan. So he'd much rather play a forward who is willing to end up at left back tracking back than actually play the two players together who actually might score the goals needed to keep us up.

He's no idea. He's an inexperienced would be manager who Norwich sacked off.

And you, having never been sacked by Norwich are obviously more experienced and better?

Do you understand why he isn't playing two up top, yes you may score 2 goals in a game but will probably concede 5. You are in a war to stay in the top league, the aim at the moment is not to get in the CL, it's to gain enough points to be safe.
If you are in a position where you have to go with one striker to make the team more secure then you go with the man who has more chance of holding the ball until backup arrives, otherwise you just end up with wave after wave of attacks against you with no respite.

You obviously have an idea of how you would like your team to play (as all supporters do), but try to take the opposition into account and look at what the manager is trying to do with the squad at his disposal.

Not that a want to start a conversation with a sad boring manc **** as you know nowt about us.
The man to hold the ball up is mbokani so why did phelan persist asking Hernandez to do that prior to Chelsea? See you know **** all about us so **** off.

We have. When he's had options, he'd made the wrong choices. When he was needed to make a decision in the game to try and halt something or change something, he left it too late.

No one is pretending managing a club is easy, but we don't have a Martial to come off the bench, and the team needs setting up better from the off. He's not a PL manager by any stretch.
