I love Corchia.

He's a head up direct attacking wing back with a bit of pace and buckets of stamina.

He was heavily linked with several top, top clubs, I'd be delighted with him.

I'm gonna keep mentioning Gebre Salassie of Werder, who is a top, top wing back, and would cost a pittance.

Paolo, the word is mate, that it is indeed Corchia gimme tem mins gonna try and dig out the link

I remember Gabre Salassie from the Euro's and he was mint going forward. Fast as * and good on the ball but I cannot remember him doing anything overly impressive on the defensive side

saying that I would be happy if we got him

as for Corchia, really hope it is him

Question is... would people prefer Corchia, or Peruzzi??

It's a good question.

We've all got swept away with Peruzzi, comments like 'he's awesome' etc, but has anyone actually seen him play?

We've taken of reputation, in general, i went out of my way to watch Velez last 3 games as the story developed and as I posted here at the time, he looked decent, but no real advance on decent, and had definite defensive inadequacies.

Corchia, very similar, but does carry the advantage of being European, that is a big deal, as moving continents is a massive, massive change in culture.

I'd have no preference between the 2, but I've seen a lot more of Corchia, so would be happy to see him sign on what I know, rather than what I'm assuming due to a reputation.

I think we all got caught up with Peruzzi even though hardly anyone seen him play but on the other hand he was scouted by Di Fanti and co so a part of me actually thinks he is very good.

I think if no-one else comes in for him then we could get him in January hoping that his injury concerns have cleared up.
