I worry about players who don't sign straight away but hold out for "better" options then if none emerge they sign. Doesn't say much about their enthusiasm and commitment does it.
Agree to a point, it's certainly drums up a feeling of here we go again. But on the flip side, Only fool would sign for any club without weighing up his options.
Yeah I hear you bud but also, even though he'll have been offered good money, these players might have complex family commitments to consider before upping sticks to move to another country. It might be as simple as that.
Could be family, could be holding out for a team playing in Europe, he's on 10k a week. Surely he's going to get a pay rise wherever he goes (except an Italian club).
Ive heard that we only offered him EXACTLY what he's on at the moment... kind makes you think, "Do i really want to move from my home, my family, for the same kind of money?"
Yeah, I heard that too but I dismissed it because i can't believe we'd be so bloody cheeky.
