@SAFCsource: Last RT: Gino Peruzzi still negotiating his contract at Sunderland. Salary, duration and rescission clause are the obstacles.
SAFC SOURCE now suggesting their board are waiting for him to cross the pond to sign. Afraid I cant copy the tweet. On my phone.
@SAFCsource: The Velez board are waiting for Peruzzi to accept the contract offered by #SAFC and go to England to close the deal. http://t.co/RJt2IqrARW
The South American transfers always seem to be long drawn out affairs!!! I'm confident this one will happen. Apparently we were only offering the same as he was already getting. Can't blame the lad for wanting a bit more, especially if he's been told what the likes of Bramble and Bardsley were on a week!
Everyone is entitled to get the best deal possible. Lets not condemn the lad for wanting his worth? If he was happy to come here for the same or less money then personally, I wouldn't rate him.
Looks like good news http://www.ole.com.ar/velez/acuerdo_0_950305254.html A quick translation: "We are in agreement" - Peruzzi given the go ahead to join Sunderland and should agree terms within the next 48 hours. Get in
Velez Sarsfield president Miguel Calello has confirmed he has given Gino Peruzzi permission to discuss a move to Sunderland. Peruzzi was recently linked with Manchester City and Inter Milan, but the Argentina international now appears to be closing on a switch to the Stadium of Light. The right-back, who can also play on the wing, has seemingly emerged as the latest target for Paolo Di Canio as the Sunderland boss overhauls his squad. Calello has claimed an agreement has been reached with Sunderland and it is now down to Peruzzi to settle on personal terms with the Premier League club. "We talked about the payment conditions and the values, we reached an agreement quickly," Calello told Rock & Pop. "Now Gino Peruzzi's representatives and the English club need to reach an agreement. "When this kind of proposal comes, it's hard to say no. If we turn them down, we might never receive this kind of proposal again." A potential deal for the 21-year-old follows on from Sunderland agreeing a fee with AZ Alkmaar to sign American striker Jozy Altidore. And Di Canio has already added Vito Mannone, Modibo Diakite, Valentin Roberge, Cabral, David Moberg Karlsson and Duncan Watmore to a squad which survived a brush with relegation last season. There you go fella.
Supposedly we only offered him exactly what he's getting right now at Velez. I don't blame him for wanting more cash to move. I wouldn't move jobs for the same money, even if it's to play somewhere else - especially if it's from my home. But we'll get our man
Hope he signs, hell of a player and Man c are after him!, he will not be messed with/have the ball taken off him like some players next season, he will get guaranteed first team football here. And Altidore has signed ! things hotting up now.
It's almost as if these Italians know what they're doing! It just feels as if things are moving on a whole different level now. Please god let it be true!
Certainly looks better doesn't it. Thing is, and none of us like this, it will take a few years for developmental side to show results.
