A lot of my school mates were from Chester, I used to be down there most weekends. The butchers arms for some ale and then the market tav for a quick one before the bus. I had a drive down the front street last year and it wasn't looking good. Covid or a general decline?
Not to good there now
However there trying a few bars have bands on and there is the Wetherspoons at the top for a few cheapies

had some good nights down chester, used to start off at the horse, down to the lambton then rosies and work down to the 'fishtank' club for the monday rock night, finish the night in croc-a-dildos

:emoticon-0102-bigsm Sure it's not that bad, mate. As with any area, it's the people that matter most.

Yes there are a lot of decent good folk, but ever increasing numbers of lack of pride no gooders introduced by poor landlords who are equally as happy to run the place down. Compounded by the fact that the council aren't interested -doubt if DCC even know where we are.

Left work in newcastle at 1.50pm, blazing sunshine. Got home to Consett at 2.15pm, cloudy, took daughter to dentist in Stanley at 2.45pm....raining.
Expecting snow tomorrow.
Devastating stuff that mate. It was 38 degrees down at the Roker riviera today :emoticon-0105-wink:. City by the Sea. <cheers>. Hope you're daughter is ok.

Spot on, or after insulting someone's looks they say "well I am only telling the truth", as if that had justified the remark.
Sorry to go on a bit, but it really is something that gets my back up.
