The gun lobby in the States are so powerful that the gun issue will never be solved it seems, no matter how many massacres there are

It appears that the latest shooting is IS related - I guess the relaxed gun laws over there make it easier for IS to do it there than here?

Pick up on the typos all you want but the facts are that ISIS's estimated income is $2 billion a year of which less than half is from oil. I believe this a war that cant be settled militarily (every flight costs us £35K), there has to be a political solution. But as the Israel/Palestine conflict proves that is pie in the sky. Middle eastern battles have been going on for centuries, the problem is that the potential to export the conflict now exists. Don't know what the answer is but the recent escalation (8 extra planes is it) wont make a lot of difference. Sooner or later we are going to have to bite the bullet re ground troops and that will require a multi national concert.

Why do people still have it in their heads we are doing some sort of WW2 carpet bombing exercise on Syria and flattening towns and cities? The RAF have hi-tech, state of the art precision weapons....these things can actually be put into your window or your front door. The targets are determined by weeks of intelligence gathering by coalition forces and "friendlies" on the ground out there. And why the sudden outcry of "Targeting air strikes on ISIS will not bring about any good".........the RAF have been doing this for over a year in neighboring countries with now protests back home?
If there is good intel that the farm building next to the well is an ISIS bomb making facility then target the bloody thing, and if there are so called "innocents" in the building, well they can't be THAT innocent if they are helping out can they?
The west can't defeat these animals by letting them bring their so called war to us, so we must take it to them and stop them at source, although I do wonder if that will ever happen such is the nature of their ways.

I'm sorry Mike but hundreds of mass shootings happen a year in America and most are done by Christians/ atheists. You can't blame Muslims for an incident as common as the average rovers supporter.

However you do highlight that guns bring death and that we should keep our strict gun laws the way they are if not tighten them.

There is a civil war between countless groups. Syria does not need more soldiers. Fighting for Syria would be niave and reckless.

They shouldn't be forced, those with any balls will do so willingly for their culture and traditions and to protect their family life.. For some reason you don't feel the need to do so.

Wonder if MTG would of been so supportive of the Germans following one mans ideas? Remember there was hundreds of thousands of them that did not agree with Hitlers believes but did not stand up against him. If the good Muslims outed the bad ones then life would be simpler.

I think this thread might need closing down as it was in support and of our condolences to the families WHO suffered and against THE EVIL DEATH CULT the Daesh
regarding the Paris atrocities and that was a few weeks ago. WE need to move on!
