One thing that does confuse me MTG is your hatred towards the rich people but yet you support Lansdown when he went to Guernsey to avoid tax. And want him to chuck money into the club to pay for better players.

UKIP supporter, but the number of seats they got in proportion to the percentage of vote they got was disgusting. How is that democracy really?

Its called cake and eat it or bread buttered both sides!

***That is the most unfair system of all, for any party... there should be an additional 10- 15? seats
elect as now then apportion the rest pro rata according to votes cast the "mp's elected from this pool would be those who came second IN THEIR PARTY with the highest proportion % wise OF VOTES CAST in their constituency, rounded up from bottom OF THE PILE , a minimum qualification would be an overall vote of 5.1% OR MORE.

With all due respect mate, I did not understand a word of that :cheesy:

For gods sake, don't let JG2 become a politician ........we will never have any idea what he is on about!
I thought that was what politicians did..
don't answer the question
speak gobbledogook
confuse the electorate
draw large salaries exceeded by even larger expenses .... since when did fish and chips on the way home cost £75.60p
put forward ideas that are totally unworkable
blame the opposition for what doing what they suggested a while back

etc etc

Don't worry I don't want to be a politician ... just a member of parliament!

If anyone thinks our political system and way and standard of life is so crap then emigrate. You wont of course because we live in a free and democratic society. Be careful what you wish for....

As HM once said "you've never had it so good". Ask any refugee

Exactly, I can't think of a country I could live in permantley other than perhaps New Zealand

And yeah people fleeing a war torn country must be loving their safety.

Dear ISIS

Congratulations. In a period of about three days you’ve completely screwed yourself in every strategic and ideological way imaginable. You’ve motivated frenemies like Barack Obama and Vladimir Putin to huddle together with no pretense and figure out how to end you. You’ve forced Belgium to admit it has a problem. You’ve motivated the Iraqis to start driving you out of its borders. You’ve even made everyone start liking France again. And your historically bad week is just getting started.
The United States is now taking out your oil tankers without regard for collateral damage; there goes your only revenue. France is using its air force to blow up your stronghold as the world cheers it on; no one even knew France had an air force. Putin has given up the identity of your funding sources, and he’s now willing to give up his longstanding protection of Assad in the process. But more than merely motivating the militaries of the world to take out every last trace of you, you’ve done something far worse to yourself: you’ve lost your identity.
World leaders are no longer referring to you as “ISIS” or the “Islamic State” because they’re not willing to let you pretend that your terrorist agenda is in any way connected to Islam. You don’t even get to keep your acronym anymore. Now you’re being referred to as Daesh, a name you hate. We even let the French pick out the name, because they’ve more than earned it this week. Muslim leaders and Muslim rank-and-file around the world despise you, and you’re completely out of allies.
You seem to want World War III. The trouble is, you don’t have the muscle. You don’t even fully control a single nation, and the world has taken out half your assets in a matter of a few days. It’ll take far longer than that to gradually wipe every trace of your existence from the earth, but that’s now inevitable. So thanks, ISIS or Daesh or whatever name we might choose to call you against your will. In these divisive times you’ve somehow managed to unite the entire world. Congratulations on that.

Very true, they need eradicating from the planet

You will never eradicate a guerrilla army. The ultimate solution must come from within i.e. fellow Muslims. We must all try and understand what drives people to adopt their approach. The West has of course played a part in whole process. My personal feeling is that as one becomes better off then religion becomes less important as ultimately it is a crutch. So we must find a way of getting the undoubted revenues Arabic countries generate through to the ordinary people. But there again what a mess we have gotten ourselves into !!

RoD - Agree with everything you said in that well written piece except for

Muslim leaders and Muslim rank-and-file around the world despise you

I don't think that's necessarily so, despite what lip service they may be giving.

What about those bloody Turks driving through streets celebrating ISIS's 'success' in Paris.
And then they jeer the anthem at their football match.
And the EU want them to join.

FFS !

'Muslim leaders and Muslim rank-and-file around the world despise you'

Nor do I.

I have been told that they were actually showing a minute of 'respect' and their culture does things like this in a different way, they were chanting Turkey will never surrender or something similar? the jeering is aimed at the act committed rather than the way we view it, apparently?

We're an island nation, surely not even the incompetent May could **** up the control of borders.

We are in control of a borders but newspapers will tell you otherwise to sell papers.
Don't be a tit, they mean if we are out the euro then WE control what and who we want in this country not Brussels saying you need to allow x amount people into the country.
If we are out of the euro we can then start to say come here by all means but you won't get welfare or any benefits offered to the Brits so you become like the Australians and Americans only having people to benefit the country.
Rather than try and argue everything think about it and see other people's opinions.

Are you sure you ain't my son? He seems to have an opinion but won't listen to others as well.
