Meyler was very lucky to escape that unharmed. He should press charges and sue for sure. Head injuries can be easy to inflict and even a small knock can have fatal consequences, Pardew should and probably will be locked up for an unprovoked viscous assault caught by the TV cameras.

He could easily have broken Meylers jaw, and not only would that affect the lad himself, losing him would have a huge impact on our season.

<laugh>!

Thats a little silly, it wasnt that bad.

With any luck 'Pards' will given his P45 by Ashley and the 'massive north-east giant' will be plunged into turmoil as usual, necessitating several hundred doleys to assemble overnight outside SJP demanding KK be reinstated.

I think that Meyler should press attempted murder charges. Pardew was clearly trying to do one of those ninja moves where you shatter a guys nose and the bone fragments go into the brain and the person dies.

Maybe time to get a 'bring back hanging' petition going.

Terrible sportsmanship from Pardew and certainly not for the first time either. How can he expect to command the respect of his players and discipline them when he acts the way he does? Even if the contact on Meyler was limited, the intent was still there and it is by no means acceptable for a manager or indeed a player to act like that. The FA should hand him a large fine and large ban.

Meyler was rightfully given a yellow card, and should receive nothing more. He was overly aggressive in pushing Pardew out of the way, even if Pardew did partly obstruct his path, but that is understandable given that we were 3-1 down and he wanted to get on with the game.

Managers don't obstruct or put their heads in players faces.

Hopefully he will be pit roasted by Lineacre, 'Lawro' and Shearer tonight.

No doubt the geordie turd Shearer will defend him like.

Meyler pushed Pardew first not after. Also wasn't a head butt. Have a look at the replays of incident. Pardew did the "modern footballer" thing of pushing head into face of Meyler but clearly and definitely not a head butt.

Meyler rightly booked for the push on Pardew which effectively caused the whole thing to kick off.

Pardew rightly sent to the stand for his stupid reaction which was totally out of order. Pardew will no doubt get a fine and a ban and again rightly so as no excuse for his actions.

That being said anyone trying to claim that was a head butt has clearly never seen a head butt or is just biased against Pardew or (like the media) are just trying to cause trouble or manufacture a story.

Spot on Trev. **** game for us, good game for you; another time another place. :emoticon-0150-hands

I think we should have waited outside the ground took him to the nearest tree and hung him and that's just for beating us nothing to do with the headbutt

Walking home down Chants ave after todays game, i was ran into from behind by a twat on his bicycle. As luck would have it, i stayed on my feet and was uninjured.

So i turns around to see the twat writhing around on the pavement, wrestling with said bicycle, and trying to reassemble his mobile phone, whilst apologising profusely.

As the twat came off by far the worse, i accepted his apologies with a smile, and a no worries.

The twat then gets back on his bike, and continues weaving his merry way, through the busy pedestrian walkway that is Chanterlands avenue.

This is a true story.

Now my question is.....Did i respond correctly, and in a gentlemanly fashion ?

Or should i have pushed my head into the twats face ?

You should have hoyed his phone under a bus, given him a slap across the back of his head and gone for a quick dram to recognize a job well done. I didn't really need to tell you that, Chazz, did I?
