Montpellier owner on Giroud :

"Newcastle? They are too small for him," Nicollin told RTL.

"Arsenal? We must see if Arsene Wenger is interested because he has Van Persie.

"€10m? He won't go for that.

"Given that he still has more than two years left on his contract, he'll cost a lot more, either €50m (£41.7m) or €60m (£50m)."

Is this man on drugs?

So that's Freedman, Merson and Nicollin all on my hit list!

According to twitter, in his press conference that's going on now, we're not in for a striker.

In my opinion that's ****ing moronic bearing in mind our only good striker is off to ACoN.

Is basically just another Pardew conference that doesn't make any sense.

We tried our hardest on Maiga, which means they really want a striker. But since that broke down, we aren't going to bother to look for someone else.

What? We either need a striker or we don't.

I reckon the failed medical is nothing but a sham. It must be. He says his knee is fine and suddenly we dont need a striker anymore....?!!!

Horsesh*t

lets just hope we dont lose krul or tiote tbh if worst comes to worst ide rather sign no one and keep all our players than buy and sell

If Ashley's previous track record is anything to go by, this is exactly what could happen. Pardew would then be trotted out to say how frustrated he is that he hadn't been able to get any new signings "across the line", but say that he has been promised funds for the summer transfer window....

...then next summer......

I don't mean to be negative, and I really like Pardew. I just don't trust our owner to put the needs of the club, and the aspirations of the fans ahead of his own ultimate financial intentions.

we can forget 7th then once Tiote and Ba are not available we won't win a single game.

think we,re being too hard on besty about 2 months ago we were talking about giving him the no9 shirt...tht players still in there somewhere

this,Best is good with his feet, winning the ball in the air and holding the ball up, its just his finishing and being offside nearly all the time, He did look off on St.Stevens Day.

You shouldnt let one or two below par performances cloud your judgment

I may be the only one, but I'm really not looking forward to the first few months of next year.

Can we not just get somebody on loan? If he think we're fine with Best, the Ameobi brothers and Lovenkrands, then he's quite badly mistaken as far as I'm concerned.

Think it's more tongue in cheek than anything else, a joke of the current transfer market value of players, if you will.

Or I hope so, anyway <laugh>

Nicollin is known for being a massive **** in France, he once said of St. Etienne,

"They are pathetic imbeciles. They'll get theirs one day because in life we always meet again. What a bunch of dickheads."

Last year he was accusing PSG's president of liking to "grab a sausage and stab himself in the arse"

And called Benoit Pedretti of Lille (Cabaye's replacement) a '****ter'

And here are some photos of him (nsfw):

A fat obnoxious nob running a football club? Now where have I seen that before?

We won't get a defender unless we sell one we already have. The player won't be Perch it will be Simpson or Colo.

Can't be bothered to read the whole thing so this may have already been said. What sort of moron admits to be in desperate need of a striker in January? Sur fire way to make selling clubs triple their asking price when you come knocking

Why would we sell a defender when we're short of defenders? Even MA can see that doesn't make sense <doh> ****ing idiot.

Because of the wages no doubt. I think you understanding of just how horrible ASshley and Lambias is needs attention. Who's to say we won't sell 2 and get 3 free defenders. I'm tired of listening to the same idiots that can't read the ****ing map if they were being pointed in the correct direction.

I'm not defending him but I wish you would stop with all the Ashley bashing, it's like a broken ****ing record.

Pardew said that Ashley came to him and asked him when we were going to sign a defender, I don't think he'd then go and sell another one. I do believe that Ashley wants the best for the club. No trust for Llambias though
