If it's true then were ****ed, McCormack did okay for us but no way is he worth that sort of money.
I hope someone has been sniffing the printing ink and this is just the chip paper it should be.

If we're spending £9,000,000 on a player i'd expect him to be in the same class as jordan rhodes or loic remy

Can't see that sort of money is anywhere near justified. We know Ross can score at Champ level from our own experience, but so can Le Fondre when he's given the chance.

Le Fondre at £1M and throw in Guerra and Macheda on frees, or Rossco for £9M? - no brainer. We've got what we need and don't see any need to invest that sort of money right now for a player who's never played beyond Championship level.

Rumours surfacing about a possible sell on clause in Rossco's contract when we sold him - that's why Leeds bought him so cheaply. If so (and it could be up to 50%), that would make a lot more sense if half of the figure came back to us.

Still not sure. Wouldn't it be better to let him go for say around the 6 mill mark to Fulham if Cellino goes for it, and then just pocket the cash to get someone else at the back?

With so much news World Cup focussed I think the tabloids are making stuff up as they go along just to fill some UK based print space.

After the Cornelius debacle I couldn't see us spending that on Ross although the 50% cashback is interesting. Agree with Sparks though, Fulham can have him and we get money to reinvest.

I'd rather money be spent on a centre back, and a quality central midfielder.

Saying that I wouldn't be unhappy to see him back but other areas need strengthening first.

i'd pay about £3m maximum for mccormack. they can keep him as far as i'm concerned as i don't want to put a penny in leeds coffers, especially with that fraudster they have in charge now…………<ok>

Before the papers start talking, Medel superb for Chile tonight - even the commentators said so.

Were he to stay (very unlikely) could we actually use him as a centre back?

If not staying then that performance must have enhanced his sale value.

If it were sold to Marshie that he was not just a bench warmer but competing directly with Boruc for the number 1 slot I could see that being an attraction to him, if not Boruc who is a bit of a Teddy chucker - provided Southampton were to stump up the money we want - unlikely I think.

But, it is the Mirror and all the papers are so desperate they are making up stories so we'll have to wait and see.
