For this stage of the season it is a good result and the manner breeds well for the start of the season. Nothing wrong with a bit of reserved optimism!
Did ok Thank you. Usually you look for a man of the match, but the team played so well it was difficult to single out an individual, but if you put a gun to my head it was Suarez. On this occasion it was easier to pick out players who did not contribute much, and on this occasion, Borini, goal aside, fits into that category, but of course this was his debut, and to score was a bonus. We showed glimpses off the kind off football we can play, and TBH I am filled with optimism.
Oh yeah one other thing..Charlie Adam ......didn't he look slow when he came on. We had looked so lively but it all slowed down on his arrival and his tackling, makes scholes look good. Got to go I'm afraid just don't see him fitting in with this type,of high tempo football
He played decent with a few flashes of class. Found space well first half but seemed to tire second probably because he'd put a decent shift in. Will take a while to develop an understanding with Suarez (because he's so unpredictable) but cause for optimism. Enjoy spending that £22 mill btw.....ya Jack Bastard
Totally agree, we have got rid of most of the dead wood, might as well complete the process. Adam, Cole, out, would have thrown Downing into that, but he looked quite tidy tonight, so I have no problem giving him 12 more months,,,
Cheers dude... hopefully BR will now stay truer to his 'agreement' and leave us in peace now. It was never personal lads, enjoy!!!
Not being negative, but I don't see why you are getting over excited by a decent performance against a mickey mouse side at Anfield. They were lower championship standard at best, probably lower. Saying people who wrote Gerrard off are eating their words now based on basically a pre-season game. Ridiculous. And the bullshit about not needing "fancy named foreign signings", what like Borini? The player along with Suarez who worked harder than anyone pressing and closing down. Damn these fancy foreigners, all skills no effort and passion.
How did Michu look on his debut? Saw he scored but compared to say, Sigurdsson, how did he look? Same sort of style (long rate shooting, lurking edge of box) or does he try to get in the box a bit more a la Lampard? Know its hard to gauge off one match but just wondering.
Yea, whatever Lucas, can't be bothered to argue with you, with the name Lucas, I guessed you are a LFC fan? But the way you post I have no idea who you support, TBH I don't really care and wish you luck whatever your agenda...
Just because my views are balanced it doesn't mean I have an agenda or support another team. So what you're saying is anyone who doesn't blindly follow without asking questions has an agenda?
I am saying live and let live. I firmly believe in that. I think you are a closet MUFC fan, but have no real problem with that. Good luck to you
Was a fantastic performance compared to what we have seen towards the end of last season and there were massive positives, none more so than the whole tem effort put in. We still have lots of work to do, I would say the following: 1. Have to bring the up and coming players upto this standard, so that the loss of Suarez etc to injury doesnt cause us to fall apart. It would be amazing in 18 moths if someone like Suso could step in and give the kind of performance Suarez did. He has the tools, but not the maturity or experience yet. 2. We need to make sure that this is our style and we do not panic and resort to hoof when we are put under pressure by much better sides. 3. We need to hold onto every aspect of our spine and by that I mean The whole team who played tonight.......Plus all the fantastic youngsters we have coming through: Sterling, Henderson, Suso, Pacheco, Ibe, Sinclair, hodzic, nacho. 4. Achieve stability on the field, we may lose some, but if our style is consistant, it makes it all the easier for young players to know what is required and fit in. 5. Be patient and accept that not every game is going to be as pleasurable on the eye as tonights was. 6. Gargle with salt and water daily as if this develops over the coming seasons, We could have something to shout about again one day...
It is true you must be a utter spacker to qualify as a Liverpool fan... in the world of baz of course! And some guy called whosnext or something like that, legend!
Not convinced, Redbryner makes some great points as usual. You just talk ****e again. it is tiresome tbh.
Very funny exchange, can't explain why but Mancini signing off with "I think you are a closet MUFC fan, but have no real problem with that. Good luck to you" Has me in ****ing stitches Aaaaahh....getting late
Closet City and former Chelsea fan claims Liverpool fan is closet Man Utd fan. All this and more, live on Not606.
Cheers Baz! Lucaas, Old wise man once say, 'pleasure is gained from exciting journey, not in reaching final destination.' As this performance was far better than against the same team last week, it is definately worth being positive...If you only smile at ultimate success then you will have a life of frowning .....
Redbrynner's post is spot on, but it has **** all to do with my posts. Haha UIR bazray is such a simpleton. Anyone who thinks im close to being a MU fan is obviously ******ed and probably wasting valuable oxygen.
