I don't understand what relevance Phil Parkinson's failures have to do with the likelihood of someone like Robinson doing the same, for a start we sacked Parky after only a few months so who knows where we'd have got if we hadn't (for the record i think he'd have got us relegated).
But as has been stated before we only signed him, we didn't get his team in which is usually the key to a successful manager. Aside from that Parky and Robinson aren't the same person, what one does has no bearing on what the other one does.

Anyway, Parky signed Turner, Ricketts & Marney. 3 players we might not have got promotion without!

Whoever we get to replace Pear$on will get my support. If he turns out to be ****, we'll get rid and try again. I'll still be sat in E5

Very good points

Good points well made.

Based on the favourites at the moment who would everyone like to see to replace NP now that it's pretty much confirmed he's on his way out?

i'm shocked to see how many seem to already be thinking about our new manager. has he done this bad that you wouldn't care if he left? what the **** si wrong with you all? we need stability. Those concerned sicken me to be honest. Be careful what you wish for.

It's not that we don't care if he left. He's going to leave so we need a new manager. What do you suggest we do? Retire the manager position or something?

I don't know whether this idea of a young up and coming manager is the right ploy at this time, remember Parkinson. With a young team they need some experienced manager to guide them in the right way. I would go for McClaren with Nick Barmby as his number 2.

Although McClaren was a disaster as an England manager and I wasn't impressed by some of his buys at Middlesbrough, I think he could be a good manager for us. We are in a good state now. We'd be honest with him about the funds available. He needs to get Forest away from being the last thing on his CV. He's a good coach. With AP to help him he wouldn't make any big buy mistakes - we wouldn't have the money either. We seem like a good opportunity for him.

I don't agree with you about Barmby being number 2. Barmby needs to learn his trade under an experienced number 2.

Who was McLaren's No.2 @ Forest?

I'm of the view we shouldn't rush straight in and sign a new manager tomorrow on a 4 year contract. We should leave Shakespeare and Barmby in charge temporarily as we look for the right man. I really don't think Deano is the way forward though.

Phil Brown, Martin O'Neill, Iain Dowie, Dean Windass and Mark Hughes shouldn't even be on the list.

Its been said that AP is looking for an up and coming manager. I dont think that any mentioned in the poll are realistic contenders

I expect Shakespeare and Walsh will be off with Pearson. Don't think they were even at training today.

Shakespeare & Walsh will be leaving with Nigel
