A bit like playing the lottery but lets see who gets closest to Tuesdays starting eleven!

My attempt

Gazza

Chambers Jos Stephens Fox

Cork Davis Ramirez

Isgrove Jrod Osvaldo

No. Full strength. Need a real tilt at the cups.

I totally agree. The League Cup is our best chance of silverware. I think Mauricio will put out a strong side, though not quite our starting eleven. Think Kelvin will be in goal and Cork will play. Shaw may be rested because he still doesn't seem fully recovered yet. Mauricio pulled a face when asked about Osvaldo and playing at Barnsley...I think he could do with playing another game with the team, but will Poch select him. I doubt it. Not sure why he walked off without acknowledging the crowd, his team or the opposition, but may be someone who needs a bit of kid gloves treatment. Don't think Barnsley on a Tuesday will quite cut that.

Is Yoshida injured then?
Assuming he is not......then my team would be...............
............... Davis.................

Chambers Yoshida Josh Fox

Ramirez Cork Davis Guly

Isgrove Mayuka

Think this team might do well assuming that all are fit of course!

I wouldnt play anyone who played yesterday. We would risk far more than we could possibly gain.

I would play britt, cork, maya, jos, fox, davis, reed, isgrove, guly, rowe, mayuka

I saw britt is training with the 1s and from the little i have seen of him he looks a talent. I diubt if we played ramirez or any other first teamer would put in a proper shift, much better to play those with something to prove

Kelvin, Clyne, Hooiveld, Lovren, Fox, Cork, Wanyama, S.Davis, Ramirez, Isgrove, Osvaldo

Would love to see what Isgrove can do, so would like to see him start.

I wouldn't play our first team, I think our second team is probably good enough to beat most Championship teams.

K.Davis
Clyne Yoshida Hooiveld Fox
Cork S.Davis
Guly Ramirez Isgrove
Mayuka

I'd rather Gazza play but I expect Davis will. If Yoshida is out injured, I'd put Stephens in.

I have a real bee in my bonnet about the League Cup this year. We must go for it (with reasonable caution about resting the odd player for the sake of the League). How often have we seen a top side rest players and then get surprised when they lose to a lower side that is playing their best team and are up for it.

Davis
Clyne Yoshida Hooiveld Shaw
Cork S. Davis
Rodriguez Ramirez Isgrove
Mayuka

Getting stronger as we progress, with people like Lambert on the bench if needed. Mauricio might say he'll take it seriously but in truth, we'll probably be knocked out fairly early again.

A real winning attitude you've got there.

K.Davis

C.Chambers
M.Yoshida
J.Hooiveld
D.Fox

J.Cork
J.Ward-Prowse

G.Do Prado
S.Davis
E.Mayuka

J.Rodriguez

Not sure Mayuka would be risked to play up top on his own.
Going for Chambers over Clyne but think that's 50/50 and depends on the fitness of Clyne. He missed a lot of pre-season and could probably do with the extra minutes to get up to match fitness. Think we will need him at the weekend against Redmond.

Let's be honest our squad should beat Barnsley 9/10 times! Any 11 from 25 should be way too strong as long as they are up for the fight!

I'm just saying what I think Pochettino will do. Of course I want a decent cup run but me saying that isn't going to make it happen.

I'm not sure he will, really. Pochettino wants to win. The players are no more likely to get injured in the cup than they are in the league.
