I blame moving in with the gf last year, I have stopped going gym and stopped running and I eat irresponsibly. I was 11 stone and now I'm 14 stone and I have noticed over the last few months that for the first time in my life I can see my belly through my shirt when I sit down.

I've just managed to shift that mate.

Went to a christening the other week, I always wear fitted shirts, when I sat I had the dreaded 'button hole gap'.

Hill runs, sorted.

It'll be back tho....

I want to go to my local gym but I been told it's a no-go zone, so I'm in 2 minds.

Aye, that's a problem with stopping, you tend to overeat to compensate. I went from a healthy 11 and a half stone to over 14. Medium, large to fat bastard in a crack. :emoticon-0106-cryin

Gyms are **** here, poorly equipped and ridiculously overpriced.

We play paddle & 5-a-side, and a bit of hill running, that's enough.

We say hill, it's actually a mountain, so it does the graft!

I might do Boxing again, but not to be put in competitive fights... I'd currently have to fight at light heavy, I'd be obliterated <laugh>

Smoked 30 years. Haven't had one in almost 4.

Multiple attempts prior to this one included one stint of 5 years off, and 3 stints of 1 year off.

The patch did it for me, and watching my Mom dying of lung cancer.

Same routine every night when I would come home : 1) kick the wife, 2) yell at the dog and, 3) uncork a nice bottle. Sometimes I get #1 and #2 mixed up.

But, so far so good.
