We've ended up with an Xbox one and a PS4 in our house - ****ing kids <whistle>

Wish I never bothered, graphics wise you can barely notice the difference from a PS3 or 360. Game play is pretty much identical too. Microsoft and Sony have basically ripped everyone off.

I play the 360 more than the xbox one!

Just looking at deal at the moment...

PS4, The order 1886 (which seems to have mixed reviews) and Bloodborne (very highly rated) for £349. Seems pretty good..

I have a ps3 and a ps4. Got gta on both. Ps4 is a different level. It also dorsnt glitch like it did on the ps3. The game is miles better.

Gta was completely redone though so unlike horrible ports (cod, AC) it makes use
of the extra power.

Always takes a year or two for new consoles to show off their real level.
 
Anyone check out the oculus rift yet?

**** ME!! I went on this fairground sort of ride thingy on the rift, I reacted like I was really on the thing!! It's mental.

Also played a space game on it. Brilliant.

I got VR sickness after about 30 minutes though.. though my bro can use it for 6 hours straight.

If you game and have a really decent PC, the rift is well worth checking out

Eldest keeps bugging me to get a new one but only because I've said he can have my Xbox if I do <laugh>

Problem will arrive soon; only make games for newer consoles.

Never crashes or anything like that. Just back ground glitches and things like cars vanish. Common on both 360 and ps3 versions. Gone on new consoles.
 
Yeah I do actually agree that GTA is the only game that you can really tell the difference. The rest are just a rehash of the old version, with slightly brighter colours.

But GTA on the Xbox one is quality, I assume it's similar on the PS4.

I'm guessing it'll be like when you first get a HD TV. You wonder what all the fuss is about until you watch a regular TV again <laugh>
 
Consoles suck ass. Always miles behind the latest graphics. No mods.

Good for football and driving games, **** for the rest.
 
Completed the order 1886, decent game with pretty good storyline but much too short. Way it ended has left it open for sequel though as the story sort of stops at a random point.

Like how it references people from the past (includes tesla and he develops weapons for you, as well as Jack the ripper being mentioned).

Started playing bloodborne after its getting amazing reviews, maybe because I've not got into it enoug yet but don't see why it's so good. Really can't get into it, the start of the game doesn't set out a story line so don't even know what your meant to be doing, just left to go fight random people with no knowledge as to why.

i like shooting games but much prefer when fighting people like the order, or metal gear solid etc... Going to give it a bit more but don't see myself enjoying this one.
