I think the player and manager mode should be combined again. Was gutted when I started a career for the first time on the 2013 version only to find they'd scratched it. Maybe combine them in a slightly different way; play as a player but when you reach you 30's you get job offer to be a player-manager before becoming just a manager around 35?

See I always play just as manager, never really got into being the player only. I would be the flip side and be like what the ****!

I need to get back on 13 to get some of the rust off, haven't played it in awhile and the demo comes out pretty much right after the bday. Need to get used to the sticks.

I've played player only but I get fed up quite quickly as I like to **** about with the team, hence me liking player-manager mode

They have added some south american leagues now ( still think they are missing the argie league tho!!!) wish they would add a south american cup into that as I would play as one of those teams easily!

They've added the conference to this game but I'm not bothered now since Stags got promoted to League Two last season

See why add the conference when you already have so many divisions? Why not add Argie league and say uruguayan and so if you play as a team from brazil, chile, uruguay, colombia, argentina, mexico, you can play in copa libertadores or sudamericana? I know that Europe is a big commodity but some of the leagues they add seem stupid!!!

Because they probably sell more copies of the game over here than in those other countries? I'm sure they would have done some consultation / research before making the decision

Plus, its probably easier for the game makers

I made that point but just wish they could broaded that seeing as the south american cup and european cup are the two biggest in the world. Would be nice to have to look around those leagues, would be a good challenge. But adding the conference ahead of say Ukrainian league for example .....

Nice one! bit new that, probably why I didn't catch it but still want to have the Copa libertadores!!!!!!!

I also wish they would re-introduce (from years ago) the option to use fake players. I know that sounds weird but when you restart a career you end up buying the same players all the time, if there was an option for it to generate a new database each time then that would make it better at times

I mean the whole database so when you start a career the players are always different (if you choose that option). They would have to be faceless unfortunately.

Ah gotcha, I also quite liked when a player retired ( carra, Zanetti, Lucio, etc) they would have the "young" version regenerated, either for that team or somewhere and you would have to find them.

The gameplay in the bottom video looks phenomenal to previous games. The presenters are ****ing **** though.

The animations are greatly improved. One of the new (I think next-gen only) features is that more than 2 players can contest a corner/cross, so you have a bundle of players coming together rather than watching the ball fly to an opponent as your single nearby player decides he will make absolutely no effort to challange for it.
