Labour got 29% of the vote in 2010 and 30% in 2015. Corbyn got 41%.
It is also true that Corbyn didn't win an election that May virtually handed to him on a plate. Her performance was pathetic which only goes to prove that Labour could not win an election that was fought terribly by a weak PM. She won't be there much longer that is a guarantee. I would have thought that the signs for Labour are looking piss poor.
Given the turnout of young people and their support of Labour, I don't see how. How many more seats could have been won if half his own party weren't out to get him along with vast swathes of the media?
This time. Those young might not be fooled by Momentum next time. It will also be of note to the Tory party about the use of social media that Momentum used to gain those young votes. I should think that they will do the same next election. A loss is a loss, put sparklers on it, jazz it up, cover it in gold dust if you will, but Labour lost.

The Tories utilised social media too, albeit horribly. It's not a new thing that young people favour Labour but actually getting them to the booth was an achievement. It's not in the Tory's interests to try and increase turnout let alone youth turnout.
A loss isn't just a loss. This was a loss that means we don't have a 400 seat Tory party as expected very recently. May had every advantage she could have wanted and lost seats even with the SNP's decline. It was a cruiserweight beating a lightweight on points.
I thought she was leaving the country after Brexit but hey-ho the poor girl just doesn't understand the democratic process...

This is so true. The social media campaign of completely rubbishing anything remotely Tory was a massive factor, especially with the gullible young, who have little life experience and basically believed every line of bollocks spouted on the internet. The young were also hugely bribed with the promise of scrapping tuition fees.
You'll have to point out the positives from the Tory manifesto for me. While you're there you can point out the positives from May's reign as PM and her time as Home Secretary to deserve anyone's vote.
Any negative coverage of the Tories/May you can multiply by a thousand for Corbyn/Labour. Weeks and weeks of often baseless smears in the right wing press. The front pages of The Sun and Mail were scandalous this week.
As for gullibility, I find it's more the old ****s who will swallow anything they're told. Strong and stable and strong and stable and strong and stable.
