It's been done before but no harm in doing it again.
You need to name one player from the past who has played for us and fit him in today's team. Will you just pick the best player ever or the best one in the position where we most need improvement. Your choice.

For me it would be Shearer. Goals win games, winning games wins points/progress in Cups. Shearer at his peak was the best all round striker I can remember seeing and boy oh boy could he score goals. You can never have too many goals.

Can’t argue with the others here. We need a beast of a striker and Shearer in this team would score 25 goals plus.

Unlocking defences is an issue against low blocks so a technically gifted midfielder like Cabaye.

Shearers the obvious choice but I’d like to see someone like Ginola, I think creativity out of nowhere is sadly lacking.

The dinosaurs picking players that wouldn't be any good Today.

I'll go with Gascoigne though

<whistle>

I stand by it... Sports standards develop and the physical requirements of Today's game are beyond the players of the past... Anyone that was playing football ls prehistoric years wouldn't cut the mustard Today.

It's why the idiots above a certain age still scratch their heads about Todays players having issues playing 3 times a week.

I understand you're old, so you'll have an emotional bias towards players from your youth.
