Hate to be a real dick guys, but just sitting here watching the TV and can't help feel that this thread is now inappropriate. 29 people lost their lives because of a sh**ehea*d captain. I personally don't see this as something to joke about.
The ship jokes are from the OP and are to do with our Titanic struggle to stay afloat.
Some real strained links between clues and poss players......show a lot of imagination....thats the problem !!!
I have in no way aimed any remarks at the tragic incident/accident that occured. I was replying in response to the OP's nautical based intro. If you feel this is the case then I am sure the Mod's wouls soon make a comment and either lock/delete the thread.
I reckon CerbyBerny's cryptic post suggests that we will be signing Swiss star Alexander Frei.

Perhaps he has fooled us all and he's referring to Joey Barton's public declaration that he's going nowhere - a bit tenious perhaps, but I'm sure I heard someone in Q Block call him an anchor. If so, then he's done little to settle the ship.

Nautical jokes are clearly coincidental, inspired by CB's use of 'on board' in the title.
Having said that, now that the cruiseliner tragedy has been flagged up by a couple of respected users*, perhaps it's time to forget the nautical stuff and get back to CB's rather vague OP.
Why has he omitted a name? Probably because he's none too sure and neither was his source. One thing for sure, it can't be Henrique cos he's still got to get past immigration red tape...
*Respected users: was going to refer to them by name but whilst I hate 60s type inuendo, to say the appeal for respect came from Willy and NUTS was clearly asking for trouble!
Could be to protect his source Brix, and Henrique could be announced subject to work permit. But then there are a few other could beees!
