This was my first game too. We won 4-0. My dad took me. We were in the Loft and he put me near the barrier on the elevated bit of terrace behind the floodlight nearest the South Africa Road side. Told me to watch the no 10 who was of course Rodney....and I too still have the programme."50 long years of misery, frustration and despair", I couldn't have put it better myself...

I was wondering when someone would post this, somehow I knew it would be you Soops or Tramore.
I remember the day well, I'd just left Christopher Wren aged 16 after taking my exams. Did the Wembley Walk from HQ and was exhausted at the end of extra time and 1-0 down and then Stainrod with the throw, Hazell with the flick on and Fenwick with a bullet header into the roof of the net!
I was 21 and in the middle of my final exams at Durham University. It was the only time in 3 years I went home during term time....until the following Wednesday. Got there early with my Dad and little brother and found a place up against a barrier. By kick off it was rammed in there, great atmosphere. Spot of bother with some Spurs 'fans' on the way to the tube, the source of my enduring dislike of all things Spurs. But not enough to spoil my biggest day as an R.I was wondering when someone would post this, somehow I knew it would be you Soops or Tramore.
